Hair Help Please!?

So I have naturally curly, wavy and frizzy hair. I take showers at night because I'm not a morning person.

Tonight I took a shower and when I got out, I flipped my hair upside down and combed my fingers through it. Then I put in a little bit of the Herbal Essences None Of Your Frizziness stuff (in the orange bottle). Then I put my hair up in a bun.

Do you think this will keep in the curls without making it wavy and puffy?

What should I do tomorrow morning when it comes time to brush my hair?

Help please!

Hair Help Please!?

you need to get some kind of detangler and do not brush it you need a pic and a spray bottle of water are leave in conditioner. just dampen you hair a little and scrunch it. if you run a brush through really curly hair it is only going to get frizzy.

Hair Help Please!?

You shouldn't put product in your hair at night.

The bun will help with the curls. Another option is to braid it.

In the morning just open your hair and lightly comb through it, to seperate the curls. Then style it as you wish.

Make your hair softer by brushing?

when ever i brush my hair like 3 hours after i get out of the shower before i brush if feels all bumpy after it fells smooth and shiner

how is that?

Make your hair softer by brushing?

Because you have temporarily smoothed down you hair and gotten all of the tangles. but if you brush you hair too much you get split ends. I brush mine before school, at lunch, and after i get out of the shower. Make sure you use a wide tooth comb after a shower. A normal brush isn't good on wet hair cuz hair is more fragile when wet. Also don't put you hair in a ponytail when wet or too often cuz that can hurt you hair and cause it to be frizzier. Hope i helped.

Make your hair softer by brushing?

thats because your getting all the kinks out, but brushing your hair that much is going to cause major breakage. you will have split ends faster than anybody else!

Make your hair softer by brushing?

the more you brush your hair over an amount of time produces more oils in the hair follicle and your scalp.

Your hair should be softer with time not just brushing but the more you brush it the more you encourage the oils in your hair to secrete.

Make your hair softer by brushing?

to make my hair really soft i use a good conditioner and leave it on for as long as possible. if you could manage at least 5 minutes it will feel really soft when you wash it off.

Hair helpp.. static!!?

every morning i shower and blow dry my hair. when i brush it , my hair gets very staticy. it happend everyday, all day, and everytime i brush it. it's gettting really annoying. does anyone have any ideas how i can get my hair less staticy without products and something really fast? (no more than 10 minutes...)

Hair helpp.. static!!?

Things You'll Need

Deep Conditioner

Hairspray

anti-fabric spray

leave-in conditioner

fabric softener sheet

Steps

1Step OneDeep-condition your hair regularly. (See Related eHow "How to Deep-Condition Hair".) Properly moisturized hair is less likely to be affected by static.

2Step TwoUse a "leave-in" conditioner on your hair after you wash it, or apply conditioning hair gel. These products help to weigh the hair down.

3Step ThreeSpray your hairbrush or comb with an anti-static spray before you run it through your hair.

4Step FourKeep a fabric softener sheet handy and run it over your hair when it starts to get out of control. Carry it in your purse so you can use it several times during the day if necessary.

5Step FiveAvoid hair products that include ingredients that will dry out your hair, such as alcohol or harsh chemicals such as sodium lauryl sulfates.

Hair helpp.. static!!?

i know girls that carry around dryer sheets in their purses (used ones so you don't smell like a dryer sheet) a quick swipe int he bathroom may be strange but effective! static just disappears

Hair helpp.. static!!?

There are two things you can do that are quick and easy; the first is to lightly spray your brush with hairspray. The second is to gently run a dryer sheet over your hair. This actually works better then the first, and a dryer sheet takes up less room in your purse than hairspray.

Hair helpp.. static!!?

stop blow drying your hair,

just let it dry naturally.

i find when i blow dry my hair is goes exactly the same and i get alot of fly aways.

so i like to let it dry naturally, i usually put it up in a pony tail and then when its all dry i style it and put smoothing cream in it.

Hair helpp.. static!!?

Your hair is probably baby fine like mines. You should try using some hair balm/pomade like Johnathan Dirt Texturizing Paste. Its what I use for flyaways or hair statics. However my hair doesn't really get staticy or frizzy anymore, cause I use this so very AWESOME hair relaxing balm thing by Phyto. I swear by this product.. its like $28, I think it is.. (?) But its sooo worth it. I just use like a quarter size as soon as I get out of the shower. %26amp; You just comb through to distribute and thats it! (You won't even have to blow dry, just let it naturally air dry). You HAVE to try it.. I promise, you won't regret it. XOXO!!! Good luck!

Hair helpp.. static!!?

Don't use hair dryer regularly, it is harmful for your hairs, let it dry naturally. Apply warm oil twice a week, it nourishes the hair %26amp; also gives shine to your hairs, after bath apply livon.

Hair helpp.. static!!?

Static Guard (anti-static spray), it works wonders, you just spray some on your hair then run your hand over it, or spray it on your brush. simple and takes less than a minute.

SERIOUS SCALP/HAIR ISSUES!! please read!! PART 1?

ok, here is the list of symptoms i have going on with my scalp and hair.1)itchy scalp. if i don't wash it for a day, the itching will occur particularly in the back of my head and the top front).

2) large flakes but they do not fall out. they stay on my scalp and gets tangle into my hair. after i get out of the shower, the flakes are still there and my hair isn't dry yet. 3)hair loss. i have have THICK, curly, long, dry, frizzy hair and i would lose strands of hair just by sitting down on the computer. i understand that you lose 100 strands a day but i think i'm losing more. when i brush my hair, i can fill up the brush with just my hair. after taking a shower, i can cover the drain with just my hair. i would find my hair in places i never though i would. i.e. my daughter's diaper.4)red spots. i would feel a build up of skin in a spot if i run my fingers through my hair. if i pick that skin off, it leaves a red spot that bleeds too. I don't know what shampoo i should use or what it is.

Does brushing curly hair out of the shower make it look stringy?

Just wondering... because i brush my hair out of the shower and it creates small pieces of curls.

Does brushing curly hair out of the shower make it look stringy?

Brushing the hair when it's wet stretches the hair shaft and causes split ends. If you want thicker curls , let it dry naturally and the use a pick comb to style.

Does brushing curly hair out of the shower make it look stringy?

It makes your hair poofier ;/

100% horse hair drywall texture brush.?

this tool is for textureing ceilings on drywall. it has to be 100% horse hair. it is a round brush.

100% horse hair drywall texture brush.?

what are you asking here? do you want to know where to find one at? i always go to home depot or lowes. if they don't know I'm sure they know a place that does. good luck.

PS. why does it have to be 100% horsehair? i have done texture on ceilings with paint brushes and trowels, sponges, towels, and i have sprayed a few. there are alternatives out there that might be close to what your looking for.

Anyone had massive hair loss after a thyroidectomy or on Levoxyl?

I have a TT on 5/11 and started Levoxyl on 5/15. Since about a week after my surgery I have noticed a LOT of hair on my brush when I brush my hair and gobs in the sink.

My Endocrinologist says it could be trauma from the surgery, but it wouldn't start falling out that fast, would it?

I've read levoxyl can have a side effect of hair loss and it is "usually temporary."

I'm looking for some people who can give me reassurance that this is not going to last forever and I won't be bald next year. Anyone?

Anyone had massive hair loss after a thyroidectomy or on Levoxyl?

It IS temporary ....don't worry !! I started taking Levoxyl over a year ago and freaked out at the hairloss in the beginning as well.

It will take a few months or more to see the difference but it will subside....you will not go bald!!

(By the way, I'm a female with mid-back length hair)

Anyone had massive hair loss after a thyroidectomy or on Levoxyl?

are you male or female?

Partial loss of hair may occur rarely during the first few months of thyroid therapy, but this is usually temporary. Additionally, adverse reactions associated with levothyroxine therapy are primarily those of hyperthyroidism due to therapeutic overdose

Will my hair break and fall out?

8 months ago in march I wanted to go platnuim blonde so I bleached it four times in a row because my hair wouldn't bleach, after a few weeks my hair turned gold so in june I dyed it brown and it went back to gold. My hair now has split ends and it breaks at the end, my hair is very long now and after I take a shower, I brush my hair and it stretches like a rubber band. If I were to go to a professional hair stylist and dyed it platnuim blonde, what are the chances my hair will break or fall out?? And will it turn gold again?

Will my hair break and fall out?

it probably will break off and fall out. bleaching your hair is very damaging. right now i suggest you go to a professional and get a haircut ( to get off some of the ends) and then tell them what you want to achieve with your hair. they will beable to look at it and determine if it can be done or not!

Good luck!

Will my hair break and fall out?

You need to see the doctor if your hair is doing that!!!!!!!!

Girl, your scaring me!!

~SuperGirl~

Will my hair break and fall out?

a

Will my hair break and fall out?

Obously your hair is tring to tell you somethign. You have damaged it. If you keep damagingliek that with the excesive dying you are going to kill the pores form where your hair grows and you hair will grow rextreamly slow.

Will my hair break and fall out?

I did hair for 11 years don't do anything else to your hair or just cut a lot off that will make it OK to recolor it again other than getting a lot off don't do it OK..good luck

Will my hair break and fall out?

i think you should stop adding die to your hair because your hair could have fallen out earlier when you put 4 dies in hair in a row i think personally that your hair will fall out and if you have long pretty hair now please do not to even try to put it in your hair or you may just end up bold

this is i think is going to happen if you continue to recolor hair

1.All falls out

2.grows slow

3.stops growing

~Good Luck~

Will my hair break and fall out?

you dont need to see a doctor!

the same thing happened to me. what happened is you fried your hair and now its damaged. you need to go to a hair dresser and have them cut the most damaged parts off. ask them about stuff to strengthen your hair. and next time you want to do drastic hair color changes, go see a professional. even if you think its too expensive to let them do it, at least ask them a safe way to do it so nothing like this happens again.

Help! My Hair is falling out! I got a perm about a month ago and my hair has been falling out by the

What can I do to stop my perm fried hair from falling out. My hair is blond, very fine and shoulder length. It comes out by the handful in the shower and even more when I brush my hair. My hair used to be really thick and beautiful. Now it is frizzy fried, thin and continuing to fall out. I am really freaking out about this. Is there something I can do to make it stop falling out and make it thicker again? What do you recommend? If I don't do something fast, I am afraid I am going to go bald. AHHHHHH!!!

Help! My Hair is falling out! I got a perm about a month ago and my hair has been falling out by the handful!

your hair is over process, you need a really good protein treatment like Sebastian penetraitt or my favorite Nexxus Aloxxi Polymer reconstructor. These really work. They can be a little pricey especially Nexxus but Rite aid sells the smaller bottle which could give you a couple of use since you must only use once every 2 weeks, oh Motion has a product for breaking damage hair the entire line is call Motion CPR, this is much cheaper than the previous ones mentioned and it works, try buying the shampoo, and Deep conditioner or reconstructor also leave-in. Motion CPR line is really good and it is for every hair type, only Beauty Supply Stores sells the CPR because they are professional strength. Alter Ego sell a serum call Herb Ego for damage, limp and frizzy fried hair also hairloss, you may want to invest in this, apply it on your scalp and massage in after wash and condition ( do not rinse out). within a couple of uses your hair will be bouncing back.

Help! My Hair is falling out! I got a perm about a month ago and my hair has been falling out by the handful!

Talk to a professional stylist. I am sure you are not the first one to have this happen.

Help! My Hair is falling out! I got a perm about a month ago and my hair has been falling out by the handful!

Well, you could turn over a new leaf and shave it all off and buy a wig? That will also protect your real hair while it is growing because you won't have to wash it as much letting the oils from your scalp (your body's way of conditioning your hair) go all the way to the ends for a few weeks while still looking as if you have long healthy locks (wig). Good luck.

Help! My Hair is falling out! I got a perm about a month ago and my hair has been falling out by the handful!

That's too bad. I would be upset too.

You may have to get it cut short and just wait for it to grow back.

sorry

Help! My Hair is falling out! I got a perm about a month ago and my hair has been falling out by the handful!

omg u poor thing that sounds awful. I dont know if thre is anything that you cant do now 2 stop your hair falling out because i think that onece it has been done then it is too late. it is falling out because the perm has been put on too strong. I i were you i would go back and complain to your hair dresser because this should not have happened and it is obviously causing you real problems. Good luck x

Help! My Hair is falling out! I got a perm about a month ago and my hair has been falling out by the handful!

Seems like the chemical was left on your hair for too long. I recently had a perm where I used to work and experienced some hair falling out myself, though very little compared to yours. The perm was left in for maybe 15 or 20 minutes. I also have very thin, dry and somewhat damaged hair to begin with. The only thing it did to me was make my hair a little more dry and I maybe lost 20 more strands of hair per day than what used to fall out.

Next time if you decide to go for the perm again (6-9 more months from now), make sure it's not left on as long, also make sure they're using the right chemicals. And go to a curly hair specialist. Just because someone went to beautician school doesn't mean they know anything and everything...go to someone who specializes in perms.

For now, just take care of your hair, don't overbrush it, or overwash it. And if you notice it's a little too dry for your liking put a teaspoon of olive oil in your hair, let it sit for 10 minutes and then wash out. Only condition if you have dry hair to begin with. If you have oily skin or hair just wash out the oil and don't condition. It makes your hair soft and static free, and you don't have to worry about smelling like a Bistro... It won't leave any kind of smell on your hair.

Try some Rogaine For Women if you're losing so much that you have thin or balding spots.

Help! My Hair is falling out! I got a perm about a month ago and my hair has been falling out by the handful!

Nexus make a protein reconstructor called emergency little pricey but it works. use it about twice a month .in between treat your hair with keraphix by nexus and a good leave in. and last but not least LEAVE YOUR HAIR ALONE OR U WILL BE BALD! hope this helps

Help! My Hair is falling out! I got a perm about a month ago and my hair has been falling out by the handful!

go for a baby shampoo they r really safe

Hair growing?

if i put my head down and brush my hair from the back ....kind of by my neck...all the way to the front will it grow faster?

Hair growing?

No. The only thing that will make it grow faster is if you shave you're entire head. It will grow back super long and stronger and better looking than ever.

Hair growing?

No that is just a myth. all that does is release oils from your scalp! the only way to make you hair grow faster is if you trim it every 4-6 weeks and keep the ends healthy!!

Hair growing?

condition and shampoo not every day, it drys the natural oils which helps to moisturize the scalp

Hair growing?

No, sorry. Try supplements.

Hair growing?

Brushing your hair upside down will only decrease the amount of damage done with the brush to the surface of your hair and increase the scalp oil disbursement into the hair. It will NOT cause the hair to grow nor will trimming the ends or shaving your head. A healthy diet and vitamins help to make the hair grow.

Hair growing?

That is a myth, but there is great advice you can get from www.longhaircommunity.com . They have a wonderful wealth of knowledge about growing and maintaining healthy long hair.

(My hair is 47 inches long.)

A few suggestions...

Get a wide tooth comb that has no seams or sharp/rough parts. If you want to still brush, do so after you have detangled your hair with the comb or your fingers and use a boar bristle brush. Always comb/brush gently. If your hair is very curly, I would suggest staying away from brushes all together. If your hair gets very tangled, only comb your hair in the shower after you have put conditioner on it.. the conditioner will give slip to the tangles and you can get them out without breaking the hairs. Just be gentle!

Another key in growing long hair is to protect it. If you wear your hair down there is a greater chance for it to get caught or tangled in things. Finding simple updo's are a great way to keep your hair protected. There are many different buns and braids that are very easy to learn and they can be worn every day.

Heat styling your hair is very damaging to hair. When constantly using heat to manipulate your hair (blow drying [blow FRYing to some.. lol], curling, flat ironing, etc), the water in your hair strands gets boiled away leaving your hair brittle and crunchy. There are a lot of hair safe ways to achieve different style.

Many people use different oils to massage their scalps to stimulate growth. Some also take vitamins to increase growth. There is not a *Magic Product* though, long hair takes care and patience.. but it is very worth it!

This is just the tip of the hair care iceberg! Visit the site I listed above for wonderful information and great, supportive people that will help you on your long hair journey!

I dont know what I am doing wrong with my HAIR!!?

Ok, I straighten it like every day, put I rarely blow dry it, it makes my hair frizzy so i let it air dry. Then i brush my hair then i straighten it.

I got my hair cut like a month ago and the lady messed up and cut off like 5 or 6 inches off, and i have split ends again!!!

is there something i can do or put on my hair to not have split ends??

oh and i use VIVE pro for hair that needs volume, but i already have really thick hair but the other kinds of vive pro leave residue on my head!! If you know any good kinds of shampoo and conditionners please tell me! THANKS!!

I dont know what I am doing wrong with my HAIR!!?

So pretty much once you have split ends there going to be there until you get a trim, but here's what you can do........Buy a good flat iron one that is gold plated, usually you can get one at Sallys beauty supply about 20-25dollars. Next is RIGHT before you straighten use a good smotthing product, "enjoy" has the best products!!! They have an excellent smooth and shine that eliminates frizziness and makes hair soft and shiney without weighing it down!!!!! I have been using it forever it is AWESOME.........You can get it at a Good Hair Salon, its in a blue bottle with capitol letters reading, "ENJOY"......This will totally help!!!!!

I dont know what I am doing wrong with my HAIR!!?

Use a deep cleansing and repairing conditioner, there are some really good ones available now.

I dont know what I am doing wrong with my HAIR!!?

sleek by matrix doesnt leave funky build up and protects your ends from heat damage.

I dont know what I am doing wrong with my HAIR!!?

If you have shoulder length or longer hair, get it layered, especially if your hair is thick. That may help.

You say you brush your hair? Try using a hair pick, wide toothed.

There are hot oil treatments you can get at the drugstore, mall, various places. Also a really good conditioner may help, such as Aussie, look for products that have moisturizing on them, and also is one product is not working, then you need to switch, some products make your hair poofy and dry. If you have thick hair, I don't think you need volume. :)

I dont know what I am doing wrong with my HAIR!!?

The best thing would be to not straighten your hair at all. If you still want to, use some kind of spray, serum or leave-in conditioner, there are hundreds of brands. Look for "heat protection" on the bottle.

I dont know what I am doing wrong with my HAIR!!?

I usually use Herbal Essences or Garnier, both rinse out well and keep my hair looking healthy, but lemon juice or vinegar can be used to rinse out residue if you want to continue with VIVE.

As far as split ends go there are some deep hair treatments out there, I think there are capsules from VIVE for split ends, that will help that but for the most part the best way to help with that is getting it trimmed.

I dont know what I am doing wrong with my HAIR!!?

try garnier frutis leave in conditioner

Why am I losing my hair so fast?

I'm 22 years old. Up until last May, I had a perfectly straight hairline. I always had my hair pretty short. Then, while I was in Afghanistan, I got shot in the leg. Ever since then my hair has been falling out at a very fast rate. If I brush my hair, the whole sink is full of hairs. This time next year, if this keeps up, I will have almost nothing left. My dad is 60 and he has all his hair. My brother is almost 40 and yes, he's lost some hair, but it's just a little worse then mine. Losing my hair this young and this fast is much more traumatizing than getting shot. I wouldn't mind losing it if I knew it was male pattern baldness. I just don't think it's supposed to happen this fast. Does anyone know if this is related to my gunshot wound? Thanks.

Why am I losing my hair so fast?

I think it could be alipicia. (spelling?)

Why am I losing my hair so fast?

I would not say that it is related to your gun shot wound, but a lot of times when you are on certain medications for a prolonged period of time can cause hair loss. Also, wearing hats, baseball caps- whatever can cause hair loss.

If it continues to get worse, I would consult a physician.

Good Luck.

Why am I losing my hair so fast?

The problem comes from your mothers side of the family too, keep that in mind.

you're not supposed to COMB curly hair.

When its wet, put a bit of mousse in it to keep it shiny and from frizzing out. Also get a shampoo SPECIALLY for curly/dry hair. it'll add moisture and bounce.

All big-name brands sell special curly/dry shampoos and conditioners.

Help with my hair? pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls?

Well first of all, when you brush your hair, you're supposed to brush from the bottom of your hair UP. Not vice-versa!

I also suggest getting a GOOD detangler - I suggest Mane And Tail, it works really well. When you get out of the shower, take a wide tooth comb and comb the stuff through your hair really well, and then style.

If you want to brush out your hair after it drys, put a few spritzs on your hair and work your way from the bottom up... You really aren't supposed to brush curly hair at all, so try not to. Curly hair is very brittle because of its shape...

But if you brush at all, FROM THE BOTTOM UP! =]]

You should use Sunsilk Hydra TLC shampoo, masque cream instead of the Sunsilk conditioner, Bcuz it works better, %26amp; the 24/7 creme. This special time of hair product helps to settle down your hair, making it softer, silkier, easier to style %26amp; not as frizzy. If you forget what type of hair product it is, its the Sunsilk shampoo that is pink.

I need help with my wavy hair!?

I naturally have XTREMELY thick, dark, waves. Whenever I decide to leave my hair wavy, people tell me I need to brush my hair. When I brush it, my natural waves aren't as big, but my hair turns into an afro! I don't want to straighten my hair every day!!! Plus I have LOTZ of baby hairs! Does anyone have a good solution??? I'm desperate here!

I need help with my wavy hair!?

ok this works SSOOO well

buy an at-home perm solution and follow the direction xcpt 4 the curling part, that's where your going 2 COMB it really well, go from top 2 bottom evenly around your head the whole time its supposed 2 b in then you rinse out as directed and when your done you'll LOVE the results!!! it workz SSOO well (did i already say that) :P

I need help with my wavy hair!?

Hun, you need some good old products. First, start with a shampoo for your hair type and a thick conditioner. After the shower, comb your hair with a wide tooth comb and put into a low ponytail. Blow dry it in the ponytail till its damp. Then, brush it out and use a dallop of leave in conditioner to smooth it out. Top with a coat of mold and shine hairspray, which is good for hair, because it makes hair smooth and stay in place without making it gross and hard. i know this sounds like a lot to do, but it really only takes 7 minutes and you'll love it when you see the amazing results. Plus, you'll get used to the routine. These products are priced 5-10$ and are availiable at almost any drug store or target.

I need help with my wavy hair!?

because i cannot see nor touch your hair right now this is what i strongly recommend...

go to a hair stylist and ask them. my hair stylist teaches me how to take care of my hair and different ways I can style it.

If you cant go to a hair stylist- get a mousse that focuses on de-freezing. Buy dangerously straight shampoo (it works really good) and DO NOT BRUSH YOUR HAIR WHEN IT IS DRY.

Only brush your hair when it is wet or when you are blow drying it (thick hair only gets poofy and freezing)

Just learn how your hair reacts to things- everyone's hair is different.

Cat hair- what to do!?

i recently adopted a cat and she sheds like crazy ive taken her a bath i brush her hair and still her hair is every where. she sleeps with my 7 yr old and he hasn't been able to stop coughing. i dont know if its because of her but i am concerned i wash his blanket and sheets every week but her hair is rediculus what do i do? my son is attached to her i can't give her up i need help her hair is all over the place.

Cat hair- what to do!?

Combing and brushing have so many advantages:

the more frequently you brush your cat and remove dead and loose hair from her bodies yourself, they will not shed;

they will reduce the occurrence of hairballs, especially in the longer haired breeds;

keep cat's coat smooth and free from mats - little clumps of fur that sometimes form;

it is a wonderful form of interaction for both you and your cat, and can be a wonderful bonding occupation;

allow you to keep an eye on your cat's coat and skin for potential problems, such as parasites and skin conditions etc.

Other ways to reduce cat閳ユ獨 shedding is to keep your cat healthy and feed her a quality cat food. You should feed your cat with nutritionally complete and balanced cat food that has all the nutrients cat requires for healthy skin and hair coat. There are also some products on the market that can be applied to your cat閳ユ獨 hair coat to reduce daily shedding. There are vitamins derived from fish oils, available at pet shops and from veterinarians, which can also help. They provide omega-3 fatty acids that strengthen the coat. Also available are topical sprays, which alter and reduce the shedding cycle.

If the heavy shedding is consistent throughout the year, the cats may have food sensitivity or a dust allergy. In extreme cases of shedding, when your cat is actually sick from excessive hair balls, some veterinarians recommend shaving the cat three to four times a year!.

Cat hair- what to do!?

Get "science diet". The commercials are true. Also, if it is an INDOOR cat you can buzz its hair down real short.

Cat hair- what to do!?

Buy a premium cat food like Nutro Natural Choice Indoor complete. The higher quality ingredients will make kitty's fur softer and will result in less shedding. Grocery store food has byproducts and cheap fillers which aren't good for kitty.

Cat hair- what to do!?

First.... if you just got the cat, you have switched its food. Takes several weeks for a cat to get use to the same food. They arn't like humans, get a good food and stick with it. I use Iams. There are other great foods out there, but $$$ is also a factor.

I have two indoor only cats. Do a google search on indoor cats shedding hair.... Its a combination of things. Cats are suppose to be outdoor, they grow new fur in the spring and fall. However, being indoor, we messed up their hair cycle, and they shed year around. A daily combing, baths once a week with a very good shampoo that will not dry out their skin(usually pisses mine off for a few days) A good diet is a must as well. I have an indoor tree, and 2 rubbing posts that allows them to rub up against. The ordeal with your son coughing.. the dander, or cat hair.. he is quite possible allergic to them. Cats are nice pets, but as many people dont realize, they do take more maintenance than others. Good luck.

Cat hair- what to do!?

Continue to brush the cat. Also try a different food for her. Get a food that is low in magniesum and low in ash. This will maybe help. I know that this will help with the urine tract and help from getting a urinary tract infection. If you are confused on the type of food talk to your vet. they will be able to tell you what kind of food to get. the shedding should stop with these little changes and everyone will be ok

Cat hair- what to do!?

Try taking the cat to the groomer's get shaved. Trust me, it helps a lot.

Is it true that if you have thick hair, dandruff is more common?

I have really thick hair and I noticed that since its been colder outside I have flakes (slightly big) when i brush my hair. i was told that people with thick hair gets dandruff. is this true?

Is it true that if you have thick hair, dandruff is more common?

I do not believe so, but it may be that you are not completely rinsing the shampoo or conditioner from your hair. that build up will cause flakes the look exactly like dandruff. try a tea tree or clarifying shampoo for a week or so and then go back to your normal shampoo and that may work. good luck!

Is it true that if you have thick hair, dandruff is more common?

Yes, somewhat. The reason you get dry scalp is because you hair is so thick your scalp doesnt get much moisture to it. Shampoo your hair with a good dandruff shampoo like something with tea tree oil in it and make sure you wash it out completely some times thats another way you can get flakes also. hope this helps

Is it true that if you have thick hair, dandruff is more common?

Don't know aobut it scientifically, but I have mega thick hair and I rarely get dandruff. A lot of it depends on whether you have oily or dry skin since dandruff comes from the scalp flaking. I have oily hair as well and this is probably why I don't get dandruff. I'd suggest buying a dandruff shampoo first to help that problem and then after you use that buy shampoo for dry or damaged hair since it will give it vitamins needed for good scalp lubrication. :)

Is it true that if you have thick hair, dandruff is more common?

i have super thick hair and i have to use generic head and shoulders everyday. i'm 45 and still get dandruff if i don't use the medicated shampoo. whether your hair is thick or not, if you have dandruff, you have to deal with it and find a shampoo that works for you.

Is it true that if you have thick hair, dandruff is more common?

I have very thick hair as well and alot of it and I have never had dandruff. I believe many times it might be the shampoo you are using that might be drying out your scalp.

Is it true that if you have thick hair, dandruff is more common?

no

not true

What are some easy styles for thick, curly, frizzy hair?

my hair is very thick and sometimes poofy. that's not the problem though. i love my hair and everything about it. im not complaining. i just would like to know some alternatives to a headband or leaving my hair down. maybe something more controlled that will still look nice!! please DO NOT tell me the names of good hairdressers or hair products, because i have that. i need to know how to quickly and easily do my hair with only a brush and hair accessories (and obviously shampoo %26amp; conditioner)...and possibly biosilk or very little products. THANKS SO MUCH! I WILL REWARD THE BEST ANSWER!

What are some easy styles for thick, curly, frizzy hair?

Best way to find hairstyles is online.

I have a list of good and fresh hairstyle websites where you can find good ideas.

Just mail me at kelli1132@yahoo.com with subjet Hairstyle . I will send a link of such websites.

Best wishes

What are some easy styles for thick, curly, frizzy hair?

You could try a hair straightener. It could make your hair less "poofy" and easier to control. That's what I do. I also use Anti poof cream in my hair right after I get out of the shower, and that helps too.

Hope I've helped!!!

What are some easy styles for thick, curly, frizzy hair?

I have similar hair and I part my hair on the left, about 1 inch back and swoop it toward my ears. I use a soft brush to get all the frizzes, and place it in a ponytail. Then I twist the pony tail and start making a bun. To modify it sometimes I twist and make half a bun, and place a clip at the top of the bun, let the loose ends hang, add curl enhancer, or use my straightening iron on the ends..... Moral of the story, EXPERIMENT!

Losing your hair.....?

Why is it when we (women) brush out hair some much comes out into your brush or fingers.....but you still have a WHOLE head of hair at the end of the week? i dont get it....its like it growns back over night...and thats not possible because it would be the same if you got a hair cut...ya know?

Does your hair shed more in the winter?

I wear my hair natural, and this is new to me. I stopped relaxing my hair in Jan 2006 and decided to let it grow out from the short cut I wore, my hair is now down to my shoulders. During the winter weather I've been straightening it with a ceramic flat iron. I've noticed the shedding, could it be due to the winter weather or could it be that this flat iron is really not good for my natural hair? I also try to brush my hair 2-3 times a week, is this good for hair growth? Please any tips or product recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Does your hair shed more in the winter?

Your hair does the most shedding in the warmer months (it also tends to grow the fastest as well)...However, let me ask you this..How often are you using your ceramic iron on your hair? Although ceramic flat irons are considered better for your hair than the traditional ones, it is still heat being utilized...When you add dry air to the mix, what you seeing could also be breakage....Do you moisturize your ends daily? By that, I do not mean just putting oil moisturizer on your hair alone (it only coats the hair when it is not used with water)..It helps to spray your ends with water and follow up with an oil moisturizer nightly and dont forget to wrap your hair with a silk or satin bonnet...Also, depending on which website you go to, brushing your hair can also contribute to excessive hair shedding...Your hair is delicate and you are ripping your hair out by constanly brushing it...Are you doing that to help distribute oil to your ends? That wont help as much as you think...Here is website that may or may not help you...

She has some interesting facts and tips to help you get a general idea about caring for your hair! Trust me, her advice works!...

Does your hair shed more in the winter?

I shed more in the winter, and the middle of summer. Guess its the weather.

Does your hair shed more in the winter?

not sure read some useful hair care tips and more on thsi site to help you

Does your hair shed more in the winter?

Your hair will shed more in the summer. All the heat makes your hair dry it falls out easier.

Does your hair shed more in the winter?

Yes, i dont know why though. Supposidly when you wash your hair and then rinse it, you should blast it with cold water so your pores close and it shines more. Also since you use to relax your hair, that can have something to do with it. Your flat iron doesnt have nothing to do with it. Just dont bursh your hair when your hair is wet because thats bad and you get split ends doing that. Prevent damage? I recommend Redken spray starch, you can get that at salons.. its the best! spray a little then comb it out and blow dry then straight. Faster and easier!

My hair wont stop coming out?

I had a baby 3 months ago and about 1 month after I delivered my hair started coming out. I read that your hair will fall out a lot postpartum but my hair comes out in clumps every time I wash or brush my hair. Or sometimes I just run my hands through my hair and clumps of it fall out. How long before it normally stops falling out?

My hair wont stop coming out?

My hair fell out like your is for about 5 months. Now my son is a year old and I have the most ridiculous little baby hairs growing back and sticking straight up. Its REALLY annoying!!

My hair wont stop coming out?

i did that and after a bit it finally stopped but i would call your doctor just to make sure it is not a hormone problem

My hair wont stop coming out?

This is perfectly normal. It has something to do with your hormones and is nothing to worry about. I think I finally stopped shedding some where around the fourth or fifth month.

My hair wont stop coming out?

I know what your going through i gave birth 4 months ago, and the same thing was happening to me i thought i was going to be bald, i recently got my hair cut and it stopped, a few strands still come out but nuffin like before. Im only guessing that it had something to do with it, but you could always try it

My hair wont stop coming out?

Are you not taking the prenatal vitamins anymore? If you are nursing, keep taking them, if not take a different type of vitamin.

My hair wont stop coming out?

I don't know how long it will take to stop falling out but, I would talk to your doctor and see if he/she has anything to say about it and what you can do to help it. He/she may recommend going on a vitamin supplement. I'm sure it will take time to get back to normal. My sister had the same thing happen to her and she doesn't have the problem anymore 10 months later. I hope you and your hair find some relief.

My hair wont stop coming out?

First of all - define 'clumps'. If you are getting actual patches of hair coming out and you see areas of total baldness - that is NOT normal and you need to see your doctor.

If you are getting alot of individual hairs coming out at once - but they are spaced evenly from all over your head and you dont have any bald patches.... that is normal post-partum.

My hair started falling out at 3-4 months after having my baby - and then it stopped - and then it did again when my baby was just over a year. I had long straight hair before I had my baby and after she was born, I couldnt handle the hair coming out and the lack of time on my hands to deal with it - so I cut it into a cute choppy bob - and no one notices my hair thinning and no one notices when I dont have time to fix my hair in the morning because all I do is run gel through it and go!

My hair wont stop coming out?

My hair didn't stop falling out for about 5 months after my twins where born. I can't believe I still have hair after all that fell out. My kids are a year old and the hair that fell out is growing back and I have these horrible baby hairs sticking out everywhere. I'm sure it will stop soon.

My hair wont stop coming out?

Wow! I'm glad someone else is having this problem and asked this question. I'm in the same boat as you...I had a baby almost three months ago and within the past three weeks or so, my hair has been falling out in astronomical proportions. I talked to my hair stylist the other day while getting my hair trimmed and he said that it's completely normal after having a baby because of the ginormous shift in your hormones. He also asked me if I was still taking my prenatal vitamins and when I told him no, he mentioned that if I started taking them religiously again, my hair loss would slow down drastically.

I do plan on talking to my doc about it in a couple of weeks when I go in for my check-up and if you are deeply concerned, perhaps you should speak to your doc as well. Extreme hair loss can be associated with many things...including hypothyroidism and it's best if you know about potential problems ASAP.

Good luck and congrats on your recent family addition!

I have really curly, frizzy, and thick hair, what do I do to straighten it?

My hair is extremely poofy and frizzy. I can straighten with a straightener but my hair comes out really frizzy and poofy. Also I do not like using a lot of products because it dries out my scalp really bad, so if you have any ideas as to what I can do I really need some advice. Everyday I just brush my hair out in the shower then pull it back in a loose bun (which, no matter how much gel and defrizzer i put in, turns out frizzy by the middle of the day). If anyone has any advice then you are truly god!!!

I have really curly, frizzy, and thick hair, what do I do to straighten it?

NEVER use a HAIR DRYER and use a REMINGTON hair straightener ! !

I have really curly, frizzy, and thick hair, what do I do to straighten it?

try using a flat iron

I have really curly, frizzy, and thick hair, what do I do to straighten it?

Okay so what you should probably do first is try using some anti-frizz shappoo and conditioner. You should use a decent amount of conditioner so your hair doesn't dry out.

Put your hair in a towel for like 10 minutes. Then towel dry it. NEVER USE A HAIR DRYER. Then when you straighten it take just a small chunk of your hair comb your hair throughly. While you are combing part of that hair then start straightening it (the comb is still in your hair.) After you do that, you should put some anti-frizz serum on to soften your hair and smooth it.

For best results, wash your hair at night so you can sleep on your hair. Use a satin pillow.

Hope it works out for you! I do the same thing (although I don't have curly hair) and it works out for me. =]

I have really curly, frizzy, and thick hair, what do I do to straighten it?

I use the Maxiglide Iron by Maxius. It works really well on straightening hair quickly and easily in one step.

I love mine, truly. It's the best iron out there for curly girls like us.

Aveda finishing cream is also a great product to use when you are straightening. It gives your hair a nice shine and smooths out any flyaways or frizz.

Combing wet hair??

i read in a magazine that you should not comb or brush wet hair...but if you are going to blow dry your hair how can you not brush it first? Does anyone know about this? Is it just a myth or whatever?

ps. while your here do you know any home rededies for stronger hair? Tips?

Combing wet hair??

What I've read and heard before is that you are supposed to comb your hair once it is wet and not use a brush. Think about it thats what the hair stylist does when you get your hair done they use combs. I've always brushed mine though it just goes faster. Sorry no idea on home remedies to make it stronger, try searching the net. Just type in something like 'stronger hair home remedy'. Good luck.

Combing wet hair??

i heard that you do not brush your wet hair. but comb it with a wide-tooth comb.

Combing wet hair??

yes it is true. the general rule is pat your hair dry from the shower. no rough rubbing which causes breakage and frizz just pat it and squeeze lightly. wait 10 to 15 mins before brushing and do not brush hard or breakage will occur. for stronger hair try an avocado and olive oil mix which will also add shine and luster you.

Combing wet hair??

it doesnt make your hair stronger, but for me,when i comb my hair when its wet, then i blow dry it,it makes it smoother.

Combing wet hair??

I've heard a couple things are good, doing an overnight wrap with a little peppermint oil mixed in some olive oil.

Or.... rinse with flat beer...

Combing wet hair??

I don't know if it is a myth or not but I use a very wide toothed comb when my hair is wet to get the tangles out.and I don't have much for breakage in my hair.

I don't know if it is for strength for sure but I love hair masque from biolage, smells great and feels wonderful after

Combing wet hair??

I read in a magizine that u shouldnt brush your hair when its wet because it can break easier when it is wet. u r only supposed to comb your hair with a wide toothed comb if its wet. but what i do is i comb my hair when its wet really good and then when i blow dry it i use a brush but im really careful. and to get stronger or thicker hair u should really try a good shampoo like biolage i use it and when i wasnt using it for a few months my hair got thinner and weaker.

Combing wet hair??

my friend is a stylist she said use a wide tooth comb to comb through wet hair, use Infusium 23 for stronger hair it is a leave in treatment makes my hair silky.

Combing wet hair??

Brush with a comb from the bottom up.

Combing wet hair??

You're right--It isn't good to brush/comb wet hair, but for styling, it's a necessity. Ah, the things we do to look beautiful. Here is how to minimize damage:

Always, always, always use a good conditioner. I suggest any of the ones in the Bed Head product line. (They are all equal in conditioning effectiveness, but my favorite is Dumb Blonde--love the scent). Towel dry after washing/conditioning. Next, use a wide toothed comb to get out tangles (start at bottom and then gradually comb down from the higher parts). Then, let your hair air dry about 80%. Finish styling with a blowdryer and a paddle brush with thick plastic bristles.

If you are going to flat iron or curl your hair, wash/dry it the night before--the more moisture that is in your hair, the more damage the heat styling will do to it. (The style will also stay better and you'll have fewer fly-aways because the extra hours will give your hair more time to replenish its natural oils.) There are also several styling products that you can spritz on before curling/flat ironing that can protect your hair from the heat damage. Check with your hairstylist, or try Ulta.com.

Happy styling!

Combing wet hair??

yeah it's true, because your hair is very delicate when it is wet. but you can comb, you just shouldn't toss it around or handle it roughly when it is wet. if you wanna comb it, comb it gently.

FRIZZY UGLY UNCONTROLABLE MESSY HAIR! I need help please!!?

Ok, I have really ugly hair. It makes me feel really ugly all the time, and sometimes I dont even wanna go out because of it [and because of my rosacea]. I hate going to college and seeing all the other girls with lovely hair it makes me want to scream.

So does anyone have any help? I got some GHD's last chritsmas, and i thought they would help a lot. I can get my hair looking nice, but it only stays looking nice for hardly any time, and if i walk to college by the time im there it is just a disgrace.

It always looks like it hasnt been brushed, which is a nuisence because i dont want people to get the impression that i dont brush my hair! It is always really frizzy, and i tried getting it cut shorter but that didnt work either, so now its shoulder length and just a uncontrollable mess.

Any products you would suggest? Or any ideas? please!!!!

Thanks!!

FRIZZY UGLY UNCONTROLABLE MESSY HAIR! I need help please!!?

well having a pair of ghds means you are half way there

wash your hair as normal

condition, leaving the conditioner on for 4-5 mins wrapped in a towel

rinse

and let air dry or blow dry

tie the top section of your hair up in a high ponytail,

straighten from the roots all the way round

and smear the TINIEST bit of FUDGE shaper on your hands and pull through your hair

then let down the pony and do the same

straighten and fudge

your hair will stay frizz free for 24 hrs plus

100%

i have this kind of hair too, and its dry because i dye it

this works for me, and the next day a quick run over with the straighteners does me fine

in fact each day until i wash it again,

i wash my hair twice a week, any more takes the oils out of it

fudge shaper is about 鎷? a tub, i have hair way down my back and a tub lasts me 9 months

try it

FRIZZY UGLY UNCONTROLABLE MESSY HAIR! I need help please!!?

Use a frizz control shampoo/conditioner.

Or a serum when you dry/straighten your hair.

Everyone's hair is different; some girls' hair is straight, others wavy, frizzy or whatever.

You shouldn't envy people. And you shouldn't think you're ugly just because of your hair.

FRIZZY UGLY UNCONTROLABLE MESSY HAIR! I need help please!!?

I have frizzy hair as well, and my hair was always uncontrollable until I got john freida frizz ease hair serum. It works really well, and if you use a blowdryer or straightener it also protects it from heat damage. Getting your hair cut shorter is definitely a bad thing. When your hair grows is straightens, and becomes less frizzy. A good cut for you would be a long layered cut. I hope this helps.

FRIZZY UGLY UNCONTROLABLE MESSY HAIR! I need help please!!?

When yo take showers, after you should apply the Ease-frizz product, which is number 1 now, my hair is not frizzy at all, but I still use it for fun..lol.. it makes it soft and shiny and smells good too!! try it:)

FRIZZY UGLY UNCONTROLABLE MESSY HAIR! I need help please!!?

Go to a salon and get your hair chemically relaxed. I know people who do that and it helps a lot.

FRIZZY UGLY UNCONTROLABLE MESSY HAIR! I need help please!!?

I have super frizzy hair also. and I use frizz-ease and it works really well. Try not washing your hair everyday, it will help from drying it out even more. Or buy a straighten, it helps my hair look great and it doesnt frizz. I have wet 2 straight by revlon. Good luck!

FRIZZY UGLY UNCONTROLABLE MESSY HAIR! I need help please!!?

you need to try www.biolustreflorida.com products, especially their shampoo, it has the instant repair stuff in it and you need to use it for about a month. you will see a difference, it will calm your hair down. take a look.

Is my hair thinning and splitting?

My hair seems to fall out all over the place. But I don't know if I just notice it more because it's long or if it is actually falling out too fast. Then again its been 1 or 2 years that i have been worried about this. I lost alot of weight, so I was worried it was my eatting habits. But then I remember someone saying (when I was eatting more) something about "You have a bold spot!" (I think it was the way I had my hair parted or something...)

Also, I don't want to get it trimmed, because I am afraid it will be noticable shorter, but I'm afraid I might have split ends.

In general I don't blow dry my hair, but I do leave it in a towel sometimes. Though I have stopped doing that as much. I was my hair everyday, or every other day with shampoo (I always rinse it/bet it wet). I put it in a clip, alot. And I brush my hair before and after I shower and through out hte day sometimes. If it matters, my hair goes down to the middle of my back, maybe a little above the middle.

Thanks!

NEVERR brush your hair when its wet..NEVER NEVER! That's probaably why your hair is breaking apart girl. Only use a comb or a wide toothedcomb on your hair when its wet.

How do we use a hair spray?

do we comb or brush our hair immediately spray our hair?

How do we use a hair spray?

well Ive heard that you spray it In your Hair and It makes your Hair hard

That was a stupid Question

How do we use a hair spray?

you spray on hair spray when your hair is combed so it will stay in place, and harden.

How do we use a hair spray?

Hair spray is used to hold a hairstyle in place. It should be the last thing you do to your hair. You should comb/brush, style it, then set with hairspray.

How do we use a hair spray?

Brushing your hair afterward you put hair spray in it will make it loooks course and fluffy.

blow dry and style your hair. Once you have it the way you want and want it to stay in place hold the can of hair spray 20cm away from your head and give it a light spray moving your hand around your whole head in a clockwise cirlce, trying to lightly spray every area of your hair style . Build it up slowly as you don't want to overdo the spray or else it will get sticky.

How do we use a hair spray?

You are supposed to spray your hair with hair spray after your hair is fixed the way you want it. Then, it will stay put for as long as you want. Some spray so much that the hair is hard and when it drys you can't get a comb through it. You can over do it. Less is better.

How can i get my hair curly without the POOF?

my hair is naturally curly, so i mean its really no problem using a curling iron ( not that i even know HOW. ) but when it comes to managing it im out of luck. it always poofs up, and when i put frizzy stuff on it, it gets really oily. also, when i brush my hair, all the curls come out. should i just learn to use a curling iron? Help please! =)

How can i get my hair curly without the POOF?

I, too, have curly hair, and used to encounter the same problems you described. Here is what works for me:

1.) I wash my hair every other day to help my hair maintain its natural balance of oils.

2.) Deep condition once a week (anything without alcohol is best, since alcohol will dry out your hair, causing more frizz).

3.) I use a curling cream and mousse to style my hair. First, I apply the cream with my head upside down (I use Catwalk's "Curls Rock"), then scrunch Garnier's curling mousse into my hair. Then, I flip my head back over, part it to the side, and apply a little more mousse for some definition (especially around the face). The extra mousse helps when it comes to frizz, since it holds the curls.

4.) Let hair air-dry.

5.) Don't brush, comb, or touch your hair once it's styled. Touching it and/or brushing causes more frizz.

That's pretty much it for my routine. Oh, and if you get long layers put into your hair, it will help define the curls more. Just make sure the first layer isn't shorter than your chin, or else you'll end up looking like a poodle. :/ I hope this helps, and good luck! :)

How can i get my hair curly without the POOF?

girl u need to wash ur hair with cold water so ur hair cuticles will be sealed and u wont have no frizz just look here at this link :)

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

How can i get my hair curly without the POOF?

definitely use a curling iron!

if you straighten your hair nice and smooth

put a dime- sized amount of styling gel (or even regular body lotion!),

rub it on your hands and smooth it into your hair,

wrap your hair around the inside of the curing iron and curl all of your ends, it will look so good!

i have extremely poofy/frizzy/thick/wavy hair, and my hair always looks good when i do this.

How can i get my hair curly without the POOF?

Use a good gel and a serum. Buy a blow dryer with a diffuser. Don't brush it and if it is getting oily you need to shampoo it more often with a moisturizing product.

How can i get my hair curly without the POOF?

i want to know that same question, but my advice to you is to just brush your hair before you wash it, and then comb it with the conditioner in it in the shower. use a wide-tooth comb. when you get out, don't brush it, that makes it very frizzy. wrap it in a towel for about 5-10 minutes. i find mousse on it works the best, but it weighs it down. so buy a banana clip, and put it on to give your hair volume while it is air drying. don't wear it all day though, it will look funny. try to find out how to put on on though, because it takes some practice. and don't touch your hair too much, it will make it frizzier.

How can i get my hair curly without the POOF?

I used to have that same problem, what I do as weird as it sounds, works for me, here goes: I wash my hair with cold water only, and dont wash it EVERY single day, it damages the hair and removes the oils and other things that your hair has naturally; untangle it while its wet, if its done while still in the shower even better. If your going to tie your hair, I'd suggest in a "bun"(? Im not sure how is called in english x__x) or a braid, but dont braid it often, it splits the ends, or any other style that keeps the whole hair tight. You can leave it loose, but try not to give it too much motion, dont go spinning your head around or anything, let it dry on its own, in the shape when its loose, so it stays that way.

Also tempature really works, I lived in a hot, tropical climate and it would always be poofy, but then I moved to a cooler one, with AC and I noticed it wouldnt go poof on me anymore.

And of course, DONT brush it when dry, or you'll loose the curls :)

Need help with hair loss question!?

I got my hair cut for the first time today since April 2006. The period since then has been one of increased hair loss. I had been unable to brush my hair without seeing a good deal fall out, and a noticeable thinning spot was growing larger on top. I am 20 years old, and male, but nobody with genetic ties to me in my family lost their hair this early. When I got it cut, my hairdresser was shocked to discover that I had not had it trimmed every 4 to 6 weeks. She said that the split ends had gone all the way down to the root, and this was the main reason for the severe thinning, and the pain in all of my follicles when I touch the hair.

My question is, does this actually happen, or was she wrong? Can hair loss be caused by mistreatment like that?

I am going to wait for a while and see if the Nioxin shampoos and treatments she gave me work to restore the lost hair. But I want to know if it's worth the effort, or if I'm actually balding genetically.

Thanks for your answers!

Need help with hair loss question!?

It is true that hair stops growing when there are split ends .With your treatment you can also try this remedy. About 50 to 100 milligrams a day of vitamin B6 taken for one or two months helps decrease hair fall. A medicine rich in sulfur is also recommended as sulfur plays an important part in the structure of the hair. Check out

How to get knots out of my hair!!!?

FIRST - stop brushing your hair all the time! It can be damaging! Only brush after shower (preferably when your hair is dry so hair isn't likely to snap and break off)...

SECOND - find a good conditioner. Redken, Aveda.. products like these are good for your hair.

THIRD - Find a detangler... and spray it in your hair before you comb it in the morning.

FOURTH - get a WIDE tooth comb. DON'T .. i repeat.. DON'T get those paddle brushes.. you know, the round ones? Get the wide tooth combs because it helps with knots and tangles.

FIFTH - once a week, put olive oil in your hair for 15 minutes, then rinse with shampoo, and conditioner. It'll help your hair to be silky, shiny, and less notty..

Help My hair is thinning and I'm only 22?

Eeeek Im a 22 year old girl

my hair is fairly light browny blonde

but at the back of my head near the top of myscalp it appears that my hair is thinning, i have thin hair anyway and sometimes if i dont brush my hair right you can see patches of thin hair at the back of my head

Does anyone know of a way to fix it, would dying my hair a darker colour for example plum or dark red, would it make it less noticeable

thank you

Help My hair is thinning and I'm only 22?

maybe u r under stress which is causing hair fall. i m 20 and i went to serious stress last month and its like half my hair fell off. but now it growing back. don't dye ur hair a darker color it will only make ur hair appear thinner. try not to use any chemical on ur hair. wash ur hair with a mild shampoo like herbal essence everyday. they also have a volumising one which u can try.

and don't blow dry ur hair sit under the fan and let it dry naturally.

Help My hair is thinning and I'm only 22?

just apply hair oil, twice a week

eat healthy food

drink lots of water

apply henna if possible

Help My hair is thinning and I'm only 22?

use daj shampoo

Help My hair is thinning and I'm only 22?

Don't dye your hair any darker, as the contrast to the color of your scalp will just accentuate any thin spots. You could try a good shampoo for scalp stimulation...Nioxin is a good one. Tea tree oil helps stimulate the scalp as well. Try to go as long as possible between shampoos, don't over brush your hair, and avoid pulling it tightly in a pony tail. Hope this helps!

Help My hair is thinning and I'm only 22?

Even I'm 22 and my hair is pretty thin. But it doesn't look so due to its coarseness and volume. Your light-coloured hair could blend with your scalp, too, so I wouldn't really suggest turning it dark. Mine is jet black and it shows against my white scalp, but thanks to the volume it blends in. If you're really worried about it, try perming your hair. The perm could give your hair a boost. But, you have to really moisturise it and eat well after that.

Good Luck!

Help My hair is thinning and I'm only 22?

If you are on any medication, that may be the cause. Also stress is HUGE. It does crazy things to our bodies. Take care of it...walk, exercise, meditate.

I would go to the doctor and get a complete physical to rule out any health issue that may contribute to the problem. Dont be afraid to go. If you dont have a PCP, call your GYN and get a referral. They will help you. You only have one body, take care of it with check ups, just like you do with your teeth.....

Help My hair is thinning and I'm only 22?

1. Try taking prenatal vitamins. They make your hair and nails strong and shiny, and your skin healthier, too.

2. Stay hydrated.

3. Try not to use too many products on your hair (hairspray, gel, mousse, oil, ect....). It will weigh your hair down and make it look even thinner, and the hairspray and gel will make it dry and brittle, thus making it break easier.

4. Any heat is bad for your hair as well. Hair dryer, straightening iron, curling iron, you get the idea. Heat is not your friend right now.

5. Use a good, light-weight conditioner every time you wash your hair.

6. Trust me on the prenatal vitamins. They worked for me.

I'm 14 and my hair is falling out!?

I used to have REALLY thick, full, dark hair but this year I've noticed that everytime i run my hand through my hair, about 5-10 hairs come out, and everytime i brush my hair, even more come out. In the shower, I lose about 100 hairs.

I haven't dyed my hair or chemically treated it.

For the past months, however, I used a lot of flat ironing and blow drying. I have split ends as well on teh top layer of my hair.

Could this be why my hair is falling out?

Is there a solution to it???

Please help, I'm only 14 and I don't want to have almost no hair...=(

I'm 14 and my hair is falling out!?

Everyone's hair sheds a bit. Because you've been excessivley using flat iron and blow dryer, that drys out your hair causing weak roots, split ends, and unhealthy hair. But if your really concered about your hair falling out, then try these remedies to prevent hair loss.

Make a drink blending bananas, honey, yougurt, and low fat milk. This drink is rich in biotin and will help your hair have strong roots, to prevent it from falling.

Bend your head while shampooing, and massage your scalp. This will increase the blood circulation to the scalp.

Get Sufficiant sleep. Like a healthy body, healthy hair needs a good sleep.

~Having healthy hair is very important for preventing hair loss.~

So if you have a lot of split ends, get a trim. About once every 3 months is good.

Make sure your hair is hydrated, not dry. Here are some homemade remidies you can try:

Mush 8 strawberries w/ 1 tablespoon of mayonaise. Massage into hair, Put a shower cap over it, then a warm towel, leave in for 1/2 hour. Then wash out.

~This will give your hair a rich gloss, and moisture.~

Instead of rinsing your hair w/ warm water, rinse it w/ cold water, this will close the cuticle in your hair.

~ Gives nice shine, for healthy looking hair~

Do not shampoo your hair everyday. Infact, washing your hair every 2-3 days makes your hair healthy! Because, washing your hair everyday robs the essential oils from your hair, and drys your scalp and hair.

Always condition your hair after shampooing, conditioning softens the cuticle of your hair, which hydrates it and makes it healthy.

Deep condition once a week. (I like using Garnier Fructis 3 min. conditioner)

Apply natural oils to your hair, (Olive oil, Coconut oil, almond oil, etc.) Apply generous amounts of oil to your hair, (Lots on the ends). Put a shower cap over it, and leave overnight, when its morning, wash it out.

~ Gives hair a nice gloss, healthy looking, and very hydrating.~

Don't Brush your hair when its wet. Whenyour hair is wet, it is the weakest, and brushing your hair will damage it.

Avacados are great for your hair! Mix 1 avacado w/ 1 tablespoon of olive oil, rub onto hair, and leave on for 10 min. Then rinse out.

Use a Natural Boar Bristle Brush. It will take your natural oils from your hair and smooth it out to your hair. It also straightens it a bit.

~Giving your hair a natural gloss, and a fresher smooth~

Mix 2 eggs w/ a little bit of milk, beat lightly, massage into hair, leave in for 5 min. then rinse out.

Go out for a nice walk on a sunny day, sunlight has an excelent source of Vitamin D.

~Will give shine and healthy looking hair~

Also, chemicals can damage your hair, like shampoos and conditioners are FILLED with chemicals. So, you only need about a drop size of shampoo if you have short hair, and about a walnut size if you have long. Add water to dilute the shampoo so, it seems like you have more to spread.

Don't use a blow dryer after you wash your hair, let it air dry. And when you dry your hair w/ a towel, don't rub, just blott your hair.

Try to limit your use of flat ironing, because it will damage your hair.

Drink plenty of water, because water hydrates your skin and hair!

Having a good diet is key to having healthy hair. Check this link out. http://beauty.iloveindia.com/hair/health...

~I hope i helped!!~

I'm 14 and my hair is falling out!?

Everyone's hair is like that.

If you have thick hair, it's GOING to be like that.

100 hairs being lost a day, sounds fine.

Nothing is wrong, unless you start pulling out those 100+ hairs out at the same time.

Trust me, my friend has thick hair.

Anyone and everyone who has to mess with it, has told her that.

Her hair normally falls out.

It's natural.

I'm 14 and my hair is falling out!?

call me up....we can probably take care of it. No i'm just playing....don't take hot showers and stop using all that hair product crap. Go to a doctor and they'll shoot steroids in your head to stop the problem. I'm serious.

I'm 14 and my hair is falling out!?

did you change your shampoo??

I'm 14 and my hair is falling out!?

there are hair strengthening shampoos available in the market like pantene. Over styling your hair may cause it to fall but one reason also that may have contributed in you hair fall is stress.

I'm 14 and my hair is falling out!?

We lose hair every day. If I remember right,{In my beauty school days} 100 hairs a day is normal. Sounds scary I know. But your ok. Just keep your hair trimmed and talk with your hair stylist. He or she will give you good tips on keeping your hair healthy. Also, Stress and what you eat can cause hair lost. But I feel your ok.

I'm 14 and my hair is falling out!?

your hair is extremely damaged you should see a professional hairstylist. don't be afraid to cut your hair it will only grow back healthier.make sure to always cut split ends for healthy hair and don't using heating appliances to your hair everyday it only makes it brittle and more damaged. if you use heating appliances use a hair serum or cream that will protect against the heat while you straighten your hair.

I'm 14 and my hair is falling out!?

If you think it is a problem ,go to the doctor, there are lots of things to look at with regard to hair loss. If it is proved not to be a medical problem the answer is probably the products etc that you use.

I'm 14 and my hair is falling out!?

As pp said, most people lose 100 hairs or so per day. I have long hair - thin but a lot of it. I noticed more hair loss a year or so ago. Turns out I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. Well, I had many other hypothyroid symptoms as well. I'm 39 though, it would be rare for you to have a thyroid problem at your age, and you would most likely notice weight gain, coldness, fatigue, other problems.

Anyway, I would lay off the heat appliances as much as possible. Try to be as gentle as possible. If you can go somewhere and put your hair up instead of styling it, do that. If you are staying at home don't even shampoo your hair, or at least don't blow dry or style it. If you do dry your hair don't hold the dryer too close and don't run it on dry hair as that will start frying it right away. Use the lowest heat possible. Use a heat protection spray if you can find one that doesn't gunk up your hair. Even if you cut down your heat styling to every other day it will help SO much. Get the split ends cut off as they will only keep splitting up and ruining new healthy hair growing in! Use a deep conditioner once a week or so. I also think sulfate-free shampoos are good (like Burt's Bees) as sulfates can damage hair follicles (although that's a controversial topic). I know it's hard to not style hair. Mine usually looks crappy in the AM and feels funky, and if I don't style with heat it's flatter and blah - but all that's taken a toll on my hair so I am trying to be much gentler on it.

If you can cut down big time on the flat ironing that would help of course - I've heard no matter what brand iron you use they are all pretty harsh on hair.

I'm 14 and my hair is falling out!?

loosing 100 strands a day is pretty normal, dont worry about it.

hair falling is mainly caused by stress. r u under any stress lately? if u r try to take care of it coz stress contributes to over 50% of our hair loss

stop worrying about ur hair loss now coz this will add more stress and more hair loss

treat ur hair with deep conditions like hair masks from loreal or oil replacement from pantene 3 times a week

do hot oil treatment once a week using olive oil.

massage ur scalp by using a wide toothed comb to brush through ur hair, press on the scalp slowly but firmly.

i know u'd b scared to comb ur hair coz u r afraid of losing more hair but combing actually hepls coz u stimulate the blood circulation in the scalp which helps to nourish the hair

I'm 14 and my hair is falling out!?

It's normal. I have REALLY thick hair and I lose a lot of hair everyday. It's just part of life.

FALLING HAIR -

Does your hair fall a lot? Don't worry, you're not alone. Millions of people from all around the world suffer from dry, brittle and weak hair. Some of the possible reasons for falling hair are:

Tension

Too much work

Illness

Poor diet

Over-exposure to the sun

Perming

Amateur bleaching

Too frequent and inexpert use of tints, rinses or other colourants

Here is what you can do to prevent hair fall

Shampoo regularly. Remember, a CLEAN scalp is a HEALTHY SCALP.

Brahmi amla oil also promotes hair growth.

A high protein diet with plenty of fruits, green vegetables and dairy products is a must.

Drink 10-12 glass of water everyday.

Use a very mild shampoo and condition your hair at least twice a week. When you do, make sure you rinse out the conditioner thoroughly, otherwise residue build-up will cause your hair to look limp and dull.

Know your vitamins! IRON is important for healthy hair and brittle, limp hair indicates an iron deficiency. Spinach has a good iron content, so gulp it down!

ZINC helps prevent hair loss and greying. Eat adequate zinc rich foods. Overweight people tend to have zinc deficiency, which is inversely related to the body mass index. Thus if you are overweight and if your hair falls too much, you may want to increase your intake of zinc containing foods. Recipes containing stone ground, wholegrain flour are rich in zinc.

A shortfall in VITAMIN B may cause dandruff, falling hair, loss of colour and could encourage grey hair. So B group Vitamins are essential for gloss, colour and thickness.

VITAMIN C ensures the health of capillaries supplying blood to hair follicles. Make sure your diet includes plenty of fresh fruits and veggies.

VITAMIN E encourages hair growth. Switch from refined flours to wholemeal and wheatgerm, eggs, vegetable oil.

COPPER stops hair from falling. Studies show that the copper content in the blood serum of people with falling hair is less than normal. Different types of alopecia (falling hair) are seen to have a deficiency of this important trace element. Include small quantities of nuts, especially cashews and peanuts, seeds, whole milk and beans in your diet as these contain minute but important amounts of copper.

Homemade remedies for preventing hair fall:

Apply almond oil on scalp and massage.

Grind fenugreek seeds in water and apply on your scalp. Wash off after 40 minutes. Do this every morning for a month 闅哣 if it suits you! Remember, different treatments suit different types of hair.

Massage warm castor oil + almond oil into your scalp gently. Wrap a hot towel around your scalp so it gets absorbed into the hair. Do this twice a week for healthy, shiny hair.

Add 2-3 drops of honey to a glass of water and use this as the last rinse after shampooing.

Quick Hair Care Conditioner

Mix 1 egg, 2 tbs castor oil, 1 tsp vinegar and 1 tsp glycerine. Beat until frothy and massage lightly into your scalp. Wrap your head in a hot towel, steam, then wash off. This conditioner makes hair thicker, shiny, soft and manageable.

Honey Conditioner

Beat 1-2 eggs (depending on the length of the hair), 1 tsp honey and 2 tsp olive oil. Massage gently into the scalp. Steam, and shampoo after an hour.

Alcohol Conditioner

Beat 1-2 eggs with 2 tsp brandy. Massage into your scalp. Leave for 10-15 mins. Rinse well. The egg nourishes your hair and brandy stimulates hair growth.

Your hair is a vital beauty asset, requiring constant loving care. And with a little nurturing, lush, glossy hair will be yours

ESSENTIALS FOR FALLING HAIR -

Does your hair fall often Arm yourself with these tools to combat hair fall.

Wide-toothed comb

Get yourself a wide-toothed comb. This is probably one of the most important yet underutilized of all hair tools. A wide-toothed comb helps you distribute conditioner evenly all over your hair while shampooing and conditioning. In addition, it also helps get rid of knots smoothly.

The best time to get rid of knots is during conditioning. Apply conditioner and run a wide toothed comb gently through your hair.

While untangling dry hair, do so in sections. Take one section at a time, and first, untangle the ends of your hair. Do so slowly, and don?t pull unless you want your hair to fall out in clumps or break.

Don?t wait for the last minute before detangling your hair. Every night, while sitting in front of the television, run a wide toothed comb gently through your hair, until you have untangled it completely. Do this every night, and you will notice that your hair remains free from tangles.

Leave-in conditioner

Dry hair tends to tangle easily, and, needless to say, causes it to break. Make sure your hair is never devoid of moisture by always keeping a bottle of leave-in conditioner handy. The next time you feel your hair is dry and rough to the touch, simply rub a dollop of leave-in conditioner between your palms, and apply it to your hair. Comb through with your wide toothed comb. Your hair will be instantly rejuvenated and moisturized. Gradually, the texture will also improve. This is a must if you blow dry your hair regularly, or if it is chemically treated. Such hair constantly craves moisture, so get yourself a bottle of leave-in conditioner.

Oil

Olive, almond and coconut oils are all excellent for the hair. While you could apply oil as an alternative to leave-in conditioner, oil tends to make your hair sticky, and you cannot style your hair well after applying oil. Your only alternative would then be to tie up your hair. For better results with oil, apply just a few drops immediately after washing your hair, when your hair is still dripping wet. Oil doesn?t penetrate the strands as easily as leave-in conditioner does though. Nothing beats a hot oil massage followed by a steam treatment, as the steam helps the oil penetrate the hair strands, strengthening them and curtailing hair fall.

Egg

Egg is great for the hair ? there are no two ways about it! True, it causes a tremendous stink in the bathroom, and your hair may let off an ?eggy? smell, but the results are instantaneous and worth it! Egg strengthens your hair almost immediately, and the egg yolk leaves your hair shining. Whip an egg with two tablespoons of olive oil and apply it to your hair. Wash off after half an hour. Make sure you wash off with cold water though, or the egg will start cooking in your hair, and would be harder to take off! Use a scented shampoo to counter the smell of egg in your hair, and follow up with a leave-in conditioner. Do this for a month, and you will be amazed by the change in your hair texture and the reduction in hair fall.

u better start moustorising. and if u dont like moustorizing u better start looking at wig shops. i recomend Neutrogina moustorizer. works really well. should keep your hair on lol. try not to brush it so much. let your hair grow out. let it all grow out. so u dont have the split ends on the top. grow it out so u dont hav layers. its easier to work with anyways. then get a haircut. cut it to shoulder length or so. it will stay thicker. then u can get layers.

Try not to worry too much about. I'm the same age as you and the same thing happens to me to. It's because your hair is going through a cycle - it's completly normal, it happens to everyone ;-)

I'm 14 and my hair is falling out!?

Falling of hair is sort of normal. It increases in some particular season. Don't worry about it unless its situation resembles mine. I used to beautiful, long and extremely thick hair. But last winter my hair started to fall so badly that my hair became comparatively much thinner. I guess it was because I didn't take care of it. In your case, I guess, it is because of use of artificial methods in your hair. According to me, use of chemicals %26amp; artificial things are not good for hair. Some tips are :

1. Don't wash your hair daily, atleast if its not too messy.

2. Don't use exccesss of shampoo.

3. Keep them well nourished.

4. Don't experiment with your hair.

5. Don't use chemicals and artificial hair colours etc., atleast if u r not used to it.

Some people say that change of shampoo may affect hair. Its just rubbish. It doesn't harm your hair. Just start taking good care your hair from now %26amp; they will get better soon.
