Are brushes good for hair?

Will brushes for long hair damage the hair in any way?

Are brushes good for hair?

Stay away from plastic or synthetic bristles on brushes and cheap brushes because they can break your hair. Brushing really is NOT necessary for anyone unless it's a tangled mess in which you should use a De-Tangling spray and a wide tooth comb to untangle it (start from the bottom of your hair and go up). If you insist on brushing your hair though, buy a natural boar bristle brush. Much better for it! Especially with long hair.

Are brushes good for hair?

no because i have long hair and my hair becomes healthy looking and it gets knots out so no there good for your hair OH and try a comb brush by conair

Are brushes good for hair?

Boar bristle brushes are the best to use on your hair. If you over brush or you brush too roughly yes it will cause damage. Over brushing will also cause split ends. When your hair is wet you should use a small amount of a leave in conditioner (infusium 23 is good) %26amp; comb through with a WIDE tooth comb. Never brush wet hair!! Once your hair is dry you can follow up with a nice gentle brushing to smooth the hair.

Are brushes good for hair?

i find brushes break hair, look around for certain conditioners, some are so good (and cheap) that you dont even have to brush your hair :D

Are brushes good for hair?

Brushes are not good for the hair, most people are mixed on the subject but over all it's not good. It's said that brushes give circulation to the scalp but you could simply message the scalp for that. Centuries ago when people washed hair around once a month or less they used to use brushes to brush out dandruff or lice, whatever it was that inhabited their hair. Now that washing the hair is much more frequent brushing is quite unnecessary. As for damaging of long hair, let's just say if the strong wind can damage long hair than so can brushing. Ever paid attention to all that hair that gets caught in your brush, yuck. Good luck!

Does having mono affect hair loss after mono?

I had mono a few months ago, and lately alot of my hair has been falling out, I have low iron and that could be it but it comes out in huge clumps, hair brushes, pillows, shower, all the time...

Does having mono affect hair loss after mono?

Not typicially. I think this should be a question directed towards your doctor. I've never heard of hair loss happening after mono.

Does having mono affect hair loss after mono?

mono should not have this after effects, only finish with hair in the the place where you used it, a human losses 50 to a 100 hairs a day, consult a professional have a nice day good luck ...........................

Hair brushes - which is the best make for long hair?

I've recently bought a TreSemme brush... expensive but it'll last.

Hair brushes - which is the best make for long hair?

paddle brushes. they don't get your hair all tangled.

Hair brushes - which is the best make for long hair?

mmm well i use a paddle brush! always and wide tooth comb!

Hair brushes - which is the best make for long hair?

Dont use a brush for your hair..use a wide toothed comd made of wood. Plastic combs cause static and breakage in hair..brushes cause major hair breakage (do not confuse with hair fall) plus long hair shd be combed starting from below..detangling then slowly go up

Hair brushes - which is the best make for long hair?

After you get out of the shower, use a wide toothed comb.

Once your hair is dry, use brushes with natural bristles, such as natural boar bristles, they stimulate the oil glands in your hair which makes your hair shiny, and also stimulates growth.

Hope this helped. : )

Question for the ladies, long or short hair on a guy? I've thrown is some details, feedback ple

Okay, I see that most women prefer short hair on a guy, but what are the reasons?

I have very long hair for a guy (mid back length), but I couldn't look femenine if I tried because I'm also six feet tall, have broad shoulders and a low-pitched voice.

I take VERY good care of myself, dress in suits alot, and always stay very well groomed (goatee trimmed, hair brushed, etc.)

Okay, so assuming that a guy doesn't look femenine, is clean and well kept, and takes himself very seriously, do you prefer long or short hair on a guy, and why? Give details please!

Question for the ladies, long or short hair on a guy? I've thrown is some details, feedback please!?

I love longer hair on men. I think it needs to be curly to look good though....It really depends on the guy...

Question for the ladies, long or short hair on a guy? I've thrown is some details, feedback please!?

Either or, but longer is more attractive. I have never dated a guy with long hair. I have always found them to be quite attractive. Just thoughts of me running my fingers thru their hair.... mmm... lol

Just kidding, but I find it quite nice, especially when they appear to be decent and well kept.

Question for the ladies, long or short hair on a guy? I've thrown is some details, feedback please!?

I like long hair but not that long, my husbands hair is about shoulder length and i think if you have it longer it tends to look a bit tired, especially on men.

Also, i think it depends on the mans body and head shape, as you are a bigger man i would think you would suit shorter hair. Why not try it, it always grows back.

Question for the ladies, long or short hair on a guy? I've thrown is some details, feedback please!?

just had this discussion earlier today. I personally dont like long hair on a guy because its too feminine and just flat out not attractivel I realize you keep yourself clean, and that you personally dont look feminine but its just not something I want in a guy. I dont his hair to be the same length if not longer than my hair. And no matter how well groomed you keep yourself, its just grungy. I hope I didnt offend you, just thought I'd give you my opinion

Question for the ladies, long or short hair on a guy? I've thrown is some details, feedback please!?

i personnaly perfer longer haired men no matter how groomed or dressed he is but most women i would say do perfer short haired men cause it usually says they have a job can take care of you arent into femme things plus what women wants a man to take as long to brush their hair as they do

Question for the ladies, long or short hair on a guy? I've thrown is some details, feedback please!?

I don't care what length your hair is as long as a guy takes care of himself. What is more important is how he carries himself and how he treats other people. I like guys to be themselves and if that means long hair, go for it! I think women who have a "type" normally don't meet the guy that's right for them.

Question for the ladies, long or short hair on a guy? I've thrown is some details, feedback please!?

I HATE, HATE, HATE long hair on men! For so many reasons. First because it is supposed to be rebellious, but how can you look rebellious if it is brushed out and pulled back with a suite? And if you do not pull it back you look like a bum! Also I like my men manly and there is nothing manly about you having to "do" your hair. YUCK!

Question for the ladies, long or short hair on a guy? I've thrown is some details, feedback please!?

long hair or short as long it looks good and neat , not a big deal. I marry a guy in his long hair, and he's pretty handsome in those shiny hair. For me not an issue.

Question for the ladies, long or short hair on a guy? I've thrown is some details, feedback please!?

I used to like guys with long hair, but that was 10 years ago, when that was cool. Now, long hair on guys just looks like they are stuck in the past.

Cut the hair- it's totally sexy short and trim.

Guys who don't have the balls to cut their hair send a message.....what other things are they afraid of? Are they afraid of moving forward? Self-conscious of their appearance? Weak?

Question for the ladies, long or short hair on a guy? I've thrown is some details, feedback please!?

I'd prefer long hair, It's so sexy in a guy specially blackbrownish, to me long hair is so beautiful and is so sexy and not alot men have long hair, now a goatee is way off the line sexy, that makes a man more attractive and it def. makes me look twice at him lol. I dont think you could ever look feminine at all being the way you are, i would say keep your long and dont ever cut it.

Also I love pulling hair and brush my fingers against them in some other situation (intimacy) you said you wanted details lol and so this what I think. send me a pictue lol am sure you very very handsome!!! *wink*

Question for the ladies, long or short hair on a guy? I've thrown is some details, feedback please!?

My guy has long hair, well long for a guy and it is very attractive to me.

I have seen some really good looking men with long hair. I walked up to one man who had gorgeous hair and I told him too!!

However I have seen some good looking guys with short too.

Just matters how the guy wears it, and what he looks like. I got to admit I go for the longer hair on a guy.

2 of my sons even have long hair lol, by there choice. Not as long a yours though.

Ever see the county music singer Trace Atkins.......

Question for the ladies, long or short hair on a guy? I've thrown is some details, feedback please!?

it depends. iv seen some guys that actually look good with longer hair then with short hair. but then there are guys that look hidious with long hair. i guess its just how you wear it.

i like the way you put it. dont change, if you like it then do it! i admire a guy who does what he wants and not what people want him to do

Question for the ladies, long or short hair on a guy? I've thrown is some details, feedback please!?

I am SO TIRED of chopped off, bristly, short, or SHAVED hair on men! Please, let your hair grow! It doesn't have to be very long, just long enough to look good -- although really long hair is fine too.

But -- it MUST BE CLEAN.

Question for the ladies, long or short hair on a guy? I've thrown is some details, feedback please!?

even after reading all that lol - still short. its just a personal preference if you like short or long hair or not. you see that , you kno that %26amp; you do wat you like -- thats best. think about dieing that streak tho.. a grey streak is totally unattractive %26amp; remines me of skunks. on a positive note.. a well kept long haired masculine man kinda make me think of like the dream guy in a bunch of movies or a foreign model. =]

edit: OH i thought of some thing else.. guys with long hair that is nice %26amp; shiny makes me jelouse bc they have nicer hair then me. thats just wrong lol. not your fault tho.

Question for the ladies, long or short hair on a guy? I've thrown is some details, feedback please!?

I think that if you keep it clean and well groomed and have the confidence that you look good, (which by the way you sound like your handsome) that you should wear your hair anyway you like. Some guys that have short hair, don't wash and groom their hair half as much as they should.

Why do hairdressers give hair advice to people who don't ask for it?

Hello.

I have a 'round face' and a fringe because it suits me but occasionally I get hairdressers who tell me I need to have my hair 'brushed off my face'. That way, they claim, it will make my face look longer and less chubby. I tell them that it wouldn't suit me and they argue that it would. Eventually I get a comb and comb it back and they usually say, "Oh, you're right."

Don't they realise that they are basically telling me that a) I have a chubby face and b) They don't like my hair and c) that they know what suits me better than I do.

If someone goes to a hairdressers and asks for advice, fine but to criticise people's hair thinking that you can correct 'the problem' may just hurt people.

Hairdressers, do you give unsolicited advice to people you meet?

Why do hairdressers give hair advice to people who don't ask for it?

Being a stylist myself, I have to tell you that I can relate. I consider myself to have a high forehead and have always worn bangs. However, another stylist kept insisting on a side bang, but I was 'stuck in a rut' because I'd always hid my forehead. She challenged me to wear the side bang for just 3 days... you can do anything for 3 days. I did and WOW at the compliments I got. I ended up keeping the side bang and am more open to trying new things.

So I challenge you for just 3 days (when you'll be seeing people-don't cheat LOL) and judge from their reaction. Sometimes what WE see in the mirror isn't the way others see us.

Let me know if you do it and how it turns out.

Why do hairdressers give hair advice to people who don't ask for it?

Yeah, an why do they always have the worst hair???

Why do hairdressers give hair advice to people who don't ask for it?

I quit going to hairdressers because they never do what Iwant. I learned how to do it all myself. Infact Last night I just darkend with my hair and put in highlights. I have gotten more compliments since I started doing it myself.

Why do hairdressers give hair advice to people who don't ask for it?

If you choose a hair style that doesn't fits you well. people that see you will blame the hair stylist not you, so the best publicity of a hairdresser it's their clienteles heads so if you look good you'll bring more clients to them. but next time go to a good one so they'll give you a better advise.

Why do hairdressers give hair advice to people who don't ask for it?

am not a hairdresser but i think they do that because they know with the shape of u face what makes u look cute try to take thier advice

Why do hairdressers give hair advice to people who don't ask for it?

it sounds to me you have run into a styist who doesnt listen and know how to properly give a suggestion to you about your hair . but it also seems you may have a hard time taking a friendly suggestion to , .. i find it funny your question at the end critizes about unsolicited advice . and yet you are asking a question

Why do hairdressers give hair advice to people who don't ask for it?

This is part of the reason why I do my own hair now. I do my own color, cuts, everything, and it looks great. I know exactly what I want, and I plan on being a hairdresser when I graduate I've found I like doing hair so much. I say just be careful get a good blending razor comb and do your next trim the way YOU want it.

My hair has become so weak from dyeing and straightening?

The last time I dyed my hair was quite a long time ago last year and I decided to give it a break because I noticed it was becoming weak and I also want to grow out the black, but whenever I wash or brush my hair I can just see lots of my hair coming out and its getting worse. I use straighteners because otherwise my hair is a huge frizz bomb. Does anyone have any suggestions as an alternate to straightening? and also how to re-strengthen your hair? I've tried oils and giving my hair a break but nothing appears to be working!

My hair has become so weak from dyeing and straightening?

if you streighten your hair with a curlingiron or flat iron, then you may experience weakening and lots of hair coming out, because the extensive heat (caused by the iron itself) burns your hair and thus they start to break.

you can only stop this process if you either stop using the flat iron (thats the best way to prevent such damage), or to use a special streightenning cream when you use the iron. these creams can prevent /decrease the driing effect of your iron.

you can not strenghten your hair, but you can prevent it from future damage....

if my hair starts to become week then i do this:

i wash my hair 1 times with shampoo, then put some (1 tablespoon) of olive oil into some hair conditioner, add 1/2 lemon juice into it,, then mix that all together. i apply and brush this eeky mixture on my hair, then i put a showercap on my head and leave on for 20 min. Once this time is over, i wash my hair with sampoo again. this remedy usually helps in 3-4 weeks.... hope it helps you too:)

oh and one more thing: every year i have the damaged/split ends cut... that helps a lot too

My hair has become so weak from dyeing and straightening?

I don't understand why people experiment with their hiar.

dear pl. apply coconnut oil daily at night before sleeping and

increase curd in ur diet also drink lots and lots of water dear and pl. nxt time don't rty anything new on ur hair !!!!!!!!!

try applying curd with meethi i hope this should solve ur problem....

My hair has become so weak from dyeing and straightening?

you cant really re-strengthen your hair. you hair isnt alive, it isnt dead, its just a protein that is made by your hair follicules. you have to be careful with dying and straigtening because it breaks down the proteins your hair is made up of. the best way to have healthy looking hair again is to let your new hair come in.

Good brush a brooks pharmacy (soon to be rite aid)?

I need a good brush a brook pharmacy for brushing my hair? any ideas?

Good brush a brooks pharmacy (soon to be rite aid)?

Goody makes paddle brushes. I just go the one w/ a "gel infusium" handle %26amp; it's bristles have a rounded tip so it's gentle on my scalp.

My hair has a little kink to it, does it look okay to straighten?

This is my hair just brushed.

http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l317/x...

would it look good straightened?

My hair has a little kink to it, does it look okay to straighten?

it looks good in the pic and im sure it would look good if you straightened it and maybe curled it at the ends like this http://www.hairstyle.com/datastore/0/jes...

hope this helps

My hair has a little kink to it, does it look okay to straighten?

yeah it really would

My hair has a little kink to it, does it look okay to straighten?

you could

My hair has a little kink to it, does it look okay to straighten?

u could straighten ur hair and i think it will look good

My hair has a little kink to it, does it look okay to straighten?

yes it does but in matter of fact you can use a hair sraightener it will work but make sure your hair is wash and comb out throughly

My hair has a little kink to it, does it look okay to straighten?

Straightening your hair will definately make it sleeker and smoother, which will look really good! You could also try using a vent brush to brush it out as you dry it. Your hair doesn't have too much wave to it, so that might be just enough! HTH!

My hair has a little kink to it, does it look okay to straighten?

I saw your hair. You call that kink? Don't mess with chemicals for hair. Wash, condition and blow dry.

My hair has a little kink to it, does it look okay to straighten?

It would look very nice straightened.

閳?xoxo

My hair has a little kink to it, does it look okay to straighten?

There's no harm in trying! It doesn't look kinky at all though, try blow drying it first to get rid of kinks.

Otherwise, yea straighten it - may go a little flat but your hair looks reasonably thick anyway.

My hair has a little kink to it, does it look okay to straighten?

Yeah, definately.

How can I get my simple hair to be scene ?

I have thick, dirty blonde hair .

It's medium length, just a little bit below my shoulders, and I have a little side bang thats just a few centimeters too long :

http://photos-d.ak.facebook.com/photos-a...

Right now, I am really broke and I really want to get my hair to look like this:

http://s202.photobucket.com/albums/aa209...

I have a hair straightener, Hair Spray, Mouse, Silky %26amp; Smoothe Shampoo + Conditioner and various hair brushes .

I need to get the easiest , quickest way to do this .

I am starting high school in a few days, and I have 2 parties and a show to go to before that .

I would really appriciate someone letting me know ASAP :)

you can post here, or reach me at

mena.rawr@hotmail.com

How can I get my simple hair to be scene ?

love your hair. :)

you can achieve that look by putting hair spray all over then tease it once, then comb it to your desired look. that's how easy it is. :)

How can I get my simple hair to be scene ?

Bleach it and the ends will get straw-y and choppy like in that picture. Don't condition it and don't wash it every day.. do it every other day at most.

EDIT:

Don't use the silky and smoothe shampoo----do you see her hair being silky OR smooth? No. So use a different shampoo, just a regular washing one. And only use the hairspray-no mouse, mouse will just weigh it down and what you want is more volume.

To get the volume like she does and the piece-y look, you'll need to tease your hair. Take a SMALL toothed comb and back-comb it.

If you have a livejournal account, join the community 'madradhair' and they will give you tons of advice.

How can I get my simple hair to be scene ?

well, sorry to be the bearer of bad news hun, scene kids cut and dye their hair themselves. BUT my hair is like the pic, just play around with some brushes, and your hair partt lemme tell you, it aint easy to achive.

How can I get my simple hair to be scene ?

simple! go to your stylist and get a thousand layers and side swept bangs that cover half your face. also get a thousand different colors to add into your hair when neccessary. and presto...you've got scene! lol

How can I get my simple hair to be scene ?

just straighten it on high heat so you have no waves and bring all of your side bangs plus more over to one side and bobby pin it.

How can I get my simple hair to be scene ?

You can cut you hair real short, then use gel or hairspray to spike it up and the back. then You can go out and buy extensions for your scene look, and clip or attach them underneath your real hair.

How can I get my simple hair to be scene ?

your hair looks like u could pull off the scene look. keep in mind that a lot of pictures u see of scene haircuts had them specially done...a lot of short, shoppy layers at the top, and even extensions. it is a rather hard hairstyle to maintain...but if u have the right cut, all you really need to do is volumize the roots a ton (i mean a ton...spray/mousse it a lot and blow dry upside down with a large round brush), tease all the hair at your crown and spritz it in hairspray, and straighten the ends if you have to (make sure u use a heat protectant). shampoo every other day, but condition as often as possible, and use deep conditioner every now and then because straightening your ends a lot destroys them. also if you have naturally flat hair you may need to cut your bangs a little short to give them the volume you desire. i cant tell from the picture if your hair has layers or not but they are pretty much required for a scene hairstyle. also your hair looks really healthy and shiny..keep it that way! im jealous! good luck :)

What does brushing your hair 100 times before bed do?

I have heard of people that each night they brush their hair 100 times before going to bed. What does doing this do?

What does brushing your hair 100 times before bed do?

First of all, it depends on your hair type as well as the type of brush used. Thick, coarse hair is best brushed with a boar's hair brush, which helps to distribute sebum (our natural scalp oils) to the rest of the hair shaft, helping to soften and moisturize coarse hair which tends to be dry. For fine hair, it is best to use a wide-bristle brush (like a vent brush) or a wide-tooth comb. This helps to eliminate tangles in the hair. One very important thing: if you have medium to long hair, you should never begin brushing or combing your hair at the scalp, but from the ends and beginning a little higher each stroke, working towards the scalp, always following the direction in which the hair grows. This puts less tension on the hair and is a gentle way to release tangles and distribute natural oils.

What does brushing your hair 100 times before bed do?

Your question was why does someone brush their hair 100 strokes and if you should.............this answer had nothing to do with the question you asked. Report It

What does brushing your hair 100 times before bed do?

Actually, the question was "What does brushing your hair 100 times... do?"

Nothing. It doesn't do anything but make more hair fall out than would normally fall out.

Brushing your hair 100 times is actually very bad for it.

What does brushing your hair 100 times before bed do?

It does not do anything but pull more hair out and damages it. I brush my hair once a day when it needs to be brushed...and it looks great!

What does brushing your hair 100 times before bed do?

has no benefit, can make your hair dry and break off.

What does brushing your hair 100 times before bed do?

Brushing also causes a good deal of abrasion, which strips the cuticle from the hair shaft, causing hair breakage and split ends. A smooth cuticle allows your comb and brush to glide through your hair, eliminating tangles. Leave-in natural conditioning vitamin treatments and detanglers such as Infusium 23 help by penetrating each hair shaft to correct damage, then restructures and smoothes the hair cuticle, giving it extra protection. Many of us have heard that one should brush one's hair 100 times every night before bed to make it shiny and manageable. In the days of weekly baths and crude soaps this was good advice since brushing so many strokes disperses the natural oils and removes some of the excess oil and dirt. Now people shower more often and have numerous conditioning products to choose from, so this practice is no longer necessary. It is normal to lose 50-100 hairs a day. Be sure to choose a brush designed for your hair length, thickness, and texture.

Always use a natural bristle brushes made from boar or other natural, non-synthetic or petroleum materials. Many people use brushes and combs made from harsh chemicals and synthetic matericals that are petrolleum based which irritate the scalp and cuticle. It is also very important to make sure that your combs are handmade and NOT made from a poured mold with a seam along the teeth edges and made from natural cellolose acetate that does not irritate the scalp. Combs are usually pressed in a plastic processing machine in thousands. This machine creates a comb by putting two molding units together and pressing plastic into it. A side effect is that in the middle, between the units, a small rand still remains. This is usually just in the middle of the flat side of a comb, and hence also between each comb tooth. When you comb your hair, and you try to get beyond a tangle with force, your comb or brush works like a knife cutting or scratching your hair. Good combs and brushes are expensive, as most of them need to be post-processed by hand. Handmade combs are cut with handsaws and the teeth are polished so that they are smooth enough to slide easily through the hair resulting in easy combing without snags, pulls and irritation to the cuticle. A cheaper solution is to buy a wide toothed comb, take out your nail-file, and post-process the comb yourself. Use the file between the tooth and around the top of each tooth to get off that sharp rand. Polish afterwards with the smoothest/fine side of the file. Though we don't promote specific sale locations, we have provided a list where to locate natural brushes and combs.

What does brushing your hair 100 times before bed do?

don't know, never heard of it.

What does brushing your hair 100 times before bed do?

It spreads the oils from your scalp along the hair shafts. This makes it look more shiney. It helps the circulation in your scalp. You also have the added benefit of removing anything that got into your hair during the day like lint before crawling into bed. Be certain you use a high quality natural bristle brush too!

What does brushing your hair 100 times before bed do?

probably take half the hair on your head out. Please dont tell me you do that. Well, I guess the upside is- your arms will get stronger.

What does brushing your hair 100 times before bed do?

Stimulates natural oils made by your scalp, gets rid of loose hairs, encourages your hair to grow, causes split ends and makes your arms tired.

What does brushing your hair 100 times before bed do?

We've all heard the recommendation: "If you want healthy hair, be sure to brush 100 strokes a day." But quite the opposite is true; the less you brush your hair, the better.

When the "100 strokes a day" method first materialized, people washed their hair with soap just once each month, or once every three weeks if they were wealthy and had a lot of time on their hands. Serious brushing was needed each day to remove dead skin from the scalp and to evenly distribute the scalp oils down the hair shaft. Without brushing so many strokes a day, this oil and debris would have built up on the scalp, leaving the hair looking dirty and unkempt. In addition, the ends would have become dry and brittle unless a substitute oil were applied. And, since scalp massage wasn't widely practiced, circulation to the scalp would have been diminished, seriously hampering healthy growth.

Fortunately, today we wash our hair much more frequently, and with slightly acidic shampoos that don't swell the hair shaft and cause cuticle damage.

What does brushing your hair 100 times before bed do?

Brushing your hair before bed is important because is rids all the dirt clung to your hair. But you do not need to brush it 100 times. I believe 25 is enough

What does brushing your hair 100 times before bed do?

Gently brushing your hair with a natural bristle brush will move the natural oils in your hair down the lengths and ends. This will help make your hair shiny and softer. It also stimulates your scalp to produce more oils and some say helps your hair grow. I don't buy that last one. Hair grows as fast as it grows.

Too much brushing or using a synthetic bristle brush can cause breakage and split ends. So can ripping a brush through tangled or even worse, wet hair.

You don't need 100 strokes a night. A gentle brushing will do the trick.

What does brushing your hair 100 times before bed do?

your hair is more shiny and silky.I used to do it , but your hair falls very much. But it is not bad for it.

What does brushing your hair 100 times before bed do?

NOO its not "bad" for your hair or that "good". But you should brush your hair before you sleep to get the dirty stuff out but not 100 times O__O just a few

Hair Help Please!?

So I have naturally curly, wavy and frizzy hair. I take showers at night because I'm not a morning person.

Tonight I took a shower and when I got out, I flipped my hair upside down and combed my fingers through it. Then I put in a little bit of the Herbal Essences None Of Your Frizziness stuff (in the orange bottle). Then I put my hair up in a bun.

Do you think this will keep in the curls without making it wavy and puffy?

What should I do tomorrow morning when it comes time to brush my hair?

Help please!

Hair Help Please!?

you need to get some kind of detangler and do not brush it you need a pic and a spray bottle of water are leave in conditioner. just dampen you hair a little and scrunch it. if you run a brush through really curly hair it is only going to get frizzy.

Hair Help Please!?

You shouldn't put product in your hair at night.

The bun will help with the curls. Another option is to braid it.

In the morning just open your hair and lightly comb through it, to seperate the curls. Then style it as you wish.

Suggestions for hair styles?

I'm going tomorrow to get my hair cut, and I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for a good type of cut for me to get. I want to keep my hair long, but give it some sort of shape or something. I've always just kept it at one length (or with bangs when I was little) and I'm very much overdue for a change. Here's what my hair looks like currently:

http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q64/w...

The curls are natural, and last until I brush my hair out after it's dry.

http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q64/w...

This is a more every-day look. My hair doesn't usually get quite this straight anymore, though.

Suggestions for hair styles?

Wow, like dude, your hair is so pretty!! There is alot of it though so if you cut off like 5-6 inches it will probably be really curly. One thing 4 sure don't do bangs because the bangs will be short so they will totally like curl all narley and tight. So it might not match the rest of your hair which will be more wavy.(I say this from experience) In the second pick you did not look like a product junkie so like just cut off a few inches and watch your hair spring to life if you want low maintenance. If you know your way around a blow dryer then you could do something drastic and fun like cutting it from any where between the bottom of your neck to beneath your ear. This would be exciting and your curls would define more. Still babe I don't even know you and your the one who needs to choose one style to fit ur preference and life style. Choose What you like, and what fits your face shape, look thru some mags, and make sure your stylist knows exactly what you want. Don't be bossed around, and the best thing that goes with a hair cut is a smile!!

Suggestions for hair styles?

Wow i love your hair,it's beautiful =]

Anyway maybe get it trimmed a little so its not so long just a bit,and get a soft side type fringe that you can put to the side

maybe get your hair straightened[you can get perminant type straighting]

Suggestions for hair styles?

ask your hairstylist what kind of cut will look best with curls and will require the least amount of time to style...but i suggest layers that start down about your chin to add more bounce. i suggest cutting off 2-3 inches

Does brushing your hair when wet really cause split ends?

I'm starting to think that when you do brush your hair when wet does cause split ends but I want to hear it from ya!

Does brushing your hair when wet really cause split ends?

Yes, brushing wet hair will cause the ends to split. It is better to use a wide tooth comb and start at the ends. Never rip through tangles. Start at the ends and gently detangle working up. Also dont towel dry your hair by ruffing it with the towel. Gently blot your hair. This will also help prevent split ends and tangles.

:]

:]

Burnt hair needs sorting out !!!!!!!!!!! help :]?

Well, Try getting it layer then getting the split ends cutt off because they will cutt it all off!!! Also, try using the Pantien Brulitent Expressions! IT makes my hair so shiney!!! Also try getting something to apply to the ends to not damage your hair.

Dont worry about brushing. Also try to shower every other day!

Burnt hair needs sorting out !!!!!!!!!!! help :]?

Before using straightners/hairdryer you should always use a heat protection serum, use hairmasks weekly and reguarly get it cut so its free from split ends.

Burnt hair needs sorting out !!!!!!!!!!! help :]?

well first off if your hair is damaged then it will stay damaged (apart from the new hair that grows through of course) hair is dead and therefore cannot be repaired, it does not "heal" or "get better" the only thing you can do is to cut off the split ends and use treatments that make your hair APPEAR healthier, these will mask the damage but will NOT repair the damage.

Burnt hair needs sorting out !!!!!!!!!!! help :]?

avoid straightening too much and let your hair dry naturally as often as you can, makes it feel so much softer!! use a heat protection product so your hair won't get any more damaged. get a shampoo and use plenty of conditioner, can get ones for dry and damaged hair. intensive conditioners are good once in a while too!

Burnt hair needs sorting out !!!!!!!!!!! help :]?

ask the hairdresser what style would suit you best and would help your split ends, as we can't see you and therefore can't reccomend a good haircut.

There are some treatment masks on the market that can help soother hair, and some therapy shampoos and conditioners, but you can not fix it 100%. If you are really worried about it, get a crop cut and grow your hair out anew. Harsh, I know, but it is sometimes the only solution!

Burnt hair needs sorting out !!!!!!!!!!! help :]?

The best thing to get ur hair back into good condition is coconut oil! U can buy it from most food shops (sounds weird i kno!) While u are washing ur hair put the glass bottle of coconut oil in hot water to melt it down, the put the oil in ur hair, u then leave it over night! Wen u wake up the next morning ur hair will look really greasy but is really soft so u just wash the oil out! U could also buy hair masks and stuff but that is gunna cost u a lot more and probs wont b as affective!! This is also meant to make ur hair grow!

Burnt hair needs sorting out !!!!!!!!!!! help :]?

Well its good your getting the ends cut off that's a good start for getting your hair a bit more healthy try to go back again in a few weeks time and get them trimmed again, as for shampoo and conditioner, i have just bought some from the body shop its called honey moisturising shampoo and honey moisturising conditioner, i have been using it for 2 weeks and its really good i use straighteners a lot and i have noticed the difference in my hair, it contains honey, brazil nut and olive oil in the shampoo and honey, banana, sesame oil and brazil nut oil in the conditioner and it makes your hair smell so nice.

hope that helps.

Burnt hair needs sorting out !!!!!!!!!!! help :]?

im really sorry to say but once your hair is that bad it needs to be cut. I was addicted to my straightners and although used loads of headefence it totally damaged my hair. I had my split ends cut but it wouldnt grow due to me straightening. In the end my hairdresser said to repair my hair and make it grow i would have to have al the damaged hair cut off. I did, had it cut to just above my shoulders and used tigi bed hear dumb blonde shampoo and conditioner (as recommended) and cut down using straightners to maybe once or twice a fortnight (hardly ever use them now) and now my hair is sooo much better, really soft and bouncy, doesnt look like straw anymore and in a year it has grown loads, right down to about the middle of my back!

Burnt hair needs sorting out !!!!!!!!!!! help :]?

deep moisturising conditioners and leave the products alone for awhile

Burnt hair needs sorting out !!!!!!!!!!! help :]?

I've said this in another thread! Virgin olive oil. Soak your hair in it wrap it up in cling film then a hot towel but keep checking it. Don't let it dry! after about 4 or 5 hours, rinse off the oil then wash with your usual shampoo and dry as normal. Also, make sure you're using a decent product when you're straightening. I use VO5 styling wax and my hair is still in good condition. Good luck.

Burnt hair needs sorting out !!!!!!!!!!! help :]?

trust me there is nothing like nanoqueratina try it u dont need no shampoo or any thing after u use it

Brush vs. Comb?

I've heard that brushing your hair can cause damage your hair. Which is better - a comb or a brush? Esp. for african-american hair...

Brush vs. Comb?

DO NOT BRUSH! I haven't brushed in AGES lol! I heard a "denman" brush is good though *shrugs* idk what's so great about it

Anyway, ALWAYS use a wide tooth comb! Black hair is very easily damaged (esp if there is a relaxer in it). You can use a detangler if your roots get tangled.

I know you didn't ask about this, but i usually give this answer:

First of all, keep your hair moisturized. This is as simple as wetting it in the shower, or wetting your hands and running them through your hair. DO NOT buy any moisturizer that has MINERAL OIL or PETROLATUM! care free curl gold and s-curl are popular moisturizers. Do NOT use that Pink lotion!

2)use a wide tooth comb(SPARINGLY!!!) to avoid hairs breaking.

3)Wash your hair AT LEAST!!!!! once a week with shampoo. I wash mine with JUST conditioner sometimes too.

4)after shampooing, DEEP CONDITION by putting condish on your hair and putting a plastic cap over it and leaving it on for 15-30 minutes

5)massage your scalp daily

6)do not put any oils or "grease" on your scalp. Same goes with hair.

7)Try to relax your hair less. Every 8-10 weeks or longer!

8)You know your hair is breaking because if you look on the ends you will not see a white bulb. If you DO see a withe thing on the end, that is just shed hair. You shed 100 hairs a day, so it's all good. If it IS broken hair, do a protein treatment (use Organic Roots Stimulator mayonaisse or Aphogee 2 minute)

9)Try to put your hair up. Or protect your hair by leaving it in braids. DO NOT LEAVE BRAIDS IN TOO LONG or you will loose your hairline!

10)Do not limit your hair care products to the "ethnic" section of walmart. A lot of that stuff is crap *cough* Motions *cough*

Brush vs. Comb?

When I wash my hair I use a comb

but I would use a brush.

The brush can damage the hair if you wash the hair instead of combing it.

I use combs if I am parting my hair

curling the hair

Hair Advice?

I have possibly the worst combination of hair. It is dry and a bit damaged at the ends, oily at the scalp and very frizzy and naturally thick and curly. I look after my hair and i need to wash it nearly every day to keep it in reasonable condition. I use Herbal essence and get may hair done at the hair dressers regularly, but i cant just get out of bed, brush my hair and be ready for they day. I spend ages tying it back and straightening my fringe. I need to keep my fringe to frame my face a bit, i dont like what i look like with my hair all pulled back. I like to keep it long, hoping that the wieght of it will make it less frizzy. Is there any products out there i can use to tame my hair for everyday wear without spending hours pulling it back or using my straightener??

Hair Advice?

Use a smoothing cream before you style and that will make it less frizzy. Wash your hair every day! I know people say it's bad because "It strips your hair of natural oils" but if you have already oily hair then it's ok to wash it regularly. I have oily hair and always wash it everyday. When I go to get my hair cut, my stylist always says how healthy and clean my hair feels. Just make sure you use a good conditioner always and keep it away from your roots.

Once a week I deep condition my ends

Good luck

ps get those dry ends cut so your hair doesn't get split ends all the way up. Healthy hair is beautiful hair

To truely control an oily scalp getting highlights helps besides the face they look real pretty when done right

Hair Advice?

Oh dear, I have terribly frizzy hair, especially when it's HUMID out. I tell you what I do....I use equal parts of conditioner and honey when I wash my hair. I KNOW it sounds stupid and you're thinking "Doesn't the honey make your hair sticky?" But it doesn't. If just your bottoms are frizzy just use the honey/conditioner mix on the ends of your hair. Don't put it on the roots or it will make it more oily. The first time I used honey, I was hooked...I keep a bottle in the shower and use it everytime I wash my hair to straighten it. Hope this helps!

Knots in hair?

My13 year old gets horrible knots in her hair. She brushes it just before bed but by the morning there is always a huge knot at the back of her neck that is almost impossible to get out. She does not color treat her hair in any way nor does she use a lot of other products normally. What can help with this? She wears her hair a few inches below her shoulders.

Knots in hair?

you could always buy the no more tangles spray. also if she pins it back in a loose ponytail at night that should prevent some of the knots.

Knots in hair?

use extra conditioner after shampooing and when she combs it, start from the bottom up even the next day, comb from bottom up

Knots in hair?

I had that same problem at her age I wasn't rinsing the soap out properly ant it was causing HUGE mats in my hair. Tell her to be more through when washing her hair and the problem should go away.

Knots in hair?

I would suggest for her to sleep with her hair pinned up or with a scruchi like a loose bun and if those nasty knots come back some how tell her to wet her hair and condition it very heavily then try to brush it carefully then rinse. (wash) if she feels like it before. Good Luck!!!

Don't let it get too knotted up she might find a little rat living there...lol

Knots in hair?

thank you mommy!

Ok biker chicks, whats the best thing to put in my hair so it won't get tangled??

ok, i love feeling the wind in my hair when I am riding with my man on his motorcycle, now i have my own and will be doing my riding but i hate that my hair gets so tangled whats the best product to put in my hair so that when i reach my destination i dont pull half my hair out brushing the tangles out. please help??

Ok biker chicks, whats the best thing to put in my hair so it won't get tangled??

best thing to do is try and leave it natural (no hairspray or wax) that does most of the tangling and do a loose platt at the bottom of your head....

Ok biker chicks, whats the best thing to put in my hair so it won't get tangled??

I usually put it in a ponytail and then it's not so bad when I get to where I'm going. or you could braid it and then take it out when you get there. plus they have those leather ponytail wraps you can get that snap around your hair that would help too.

Ok biker chicks, whats the best thing to put in my hair so it won't get tangled??

They have detangling spray that you just spray on your hair that helps take the tangles out!! Also layers would help!! You can also get hair brushes made to help remove tangles!! Remember to condition your hair good!!

I need to find a brush that will work on a cat with very long hair?

he's shedding all over the place and I can't find anything that helps.......and no I'm not gonna shave him!

I need to find a brush that will work on a cat with very long hair?

Try a "Zoom Groom." It's a soft plastic brush with big conical "teeth" set far apart. You can find them in real world and on line pet shops. You may have seen them and passed over them, thinking that they don't look like they'd work very well, but they work great!

I need to find a brush that will work on a cat with very long hair?

brush him with youre brush

I need to find a brush that will work on a cat with very long hair?

try going to PETCO. They have very good products for all kinds of animals and the employee's will help u find what u need.

I need to find a brush that will work on a cat with very long hair?

Then don't shave him. use a human brush

I need to find a brush that will work on a cat with very long hair?

Try going to your local pet store and look at brushes designed to get out the undercoat. This can help some but all cats and especially long hairs will shed.I know you said you are not going to shave him and that is up to you,but you can also have him clipped at a groomers. Not all the way down and they leave quite a bit on the cat,it just helps with the amount of shedding.

Talk to someone at the pet shop if you can't find a brush.People there are pretty helpful and can probably help you locate a brush that will work for your cat.Best of luck.

I need to find a brush that will work on a cat with very long hair?

any wire bush for human hair works great. I know I use one on my long haired kitty. Also give her egg daily for her coat and a bit of butter to prevent hairballs.gl

How do you get static out of hair brushes?

Or out of your hair for that matter?

How do you get static out of hair brushes?

To get static out of hair brushes you can spray a little bit of water on it, if you just wanted to get the static out of your hair without getting it damp though you could take a dryer sheet and run it over your hair. (I know it sounds funny but it works!)

How do you get static out of hair brushes?

How do you get static out of hair brushes?

i use hair spray or even static guard

How do you get static out of hair brushes?

As you can tell... I am an expert on haircare!

Static in the hair is normally caused by lack of moisture.

Try adding a conditioner/moisturizer to your haircare routine.

Also, get a small spray bottle and fill it with 1 part standard haor conditioner and 10 parts water. Shake VERY well and spritz your hair and/or hairbrush.

How do you get static out of hair brushes?

Bounce fabric softener sheets, rub it over the brush, in between the bristles, and rub it gentle over the top of you hair, not too much on your hair though, or it will look dull.

How do you get static out of hair brushes?

I guess the logical way to make sure the static gets out of your brushes is to first make sure the hair is out of your brushes (if there is build up in them).

For your hair - as another poster suggested - take a dryer sheet and run it over your dry hair - I've done this with my fine fly away hair on those extra staticy days and it works for some control - never tried running the dryer sheet over the brush too - hummm

I dont think you can use products on a baby that young. Try using a tad bit of babyshampoo cream rinse when you wash the hair. Then put some baby oil on your fingers and run it through. It wont be greasy. I think though that the hair will fall out soon. On some babies it falls out and regrows again around 9 months.

My 6 month old has crazy curly hair should i use products to tame it? should i brush it or not?

If u have some thing against curly hair then do what u like, but curly hair is better at picking up and transferring thought, especially if it has a high copper content.

My 6 month old has crazy curly hair should i use products to tame it? should i brush it or not?

Why would you want to? Isnt the baby good enough for your fashionable friends or is it you that dislikes it?

Is the baby complaining? I doubt it very much

Enjoy your baby for the individual you have in your care.

Or are you another one of those people that have their babies ears pierced?

My 6 month old has crazy curly hair should i use products to tame it? should i brush it or not?

put a small amount of conditioner in a spray bottle the fill up with water,in morning lightly dampen then use a soft brush, this will help calm the hair

My 6 month old has crazy curly hair should i use products to tame it? should i brush it or not?

Hi, i wouldnt use anything just use a baby comb to try and tame it, they dont need products at the mo, you never now if she will be allergic to them even the childrens ones may harm your baby. Just brush gently when you can and let her be. Im sure he/she will do her best to tame the curls when she is older so the hair damage will start then.

My 6 month old has crazy curly hair should i use products to tame it? should i brush it or not?

No, she's 6 months old, hello!!! You could damage her scalp adn ruin her hair forever. Use a wide toothed comb.

My 6 month old has crazy curly hair should i use products to tame it? should i brush it or not?

My little brother's hair was like this when he was that age. My mom used to put baby oil in it, slick it back and then comb it through from the front to the back. It really works.

My 6 month old has crazy curly hair should i use products to tame it? should i brush it or not?

No leave her hair alone ,bless her i bet she is beautiful .

My 6 month old has crazy curly hair should i use products to tame it? should i brush it or not?

dont use products on it apart from shampoo, anything else will damage his/her hair. brush it in the mornings and before bedtime.

My 6 month old has crazy curly hair should i use products to tame it? should i brush it or not?

Okay... I have naturally crazy curly hair and when I was a baby my mom just got a pick when my hair was wet and she picked my hair. And when you pick hair you always do little, quick strokes from bottom to top. Don't use products. She's just a baby. : )

My 6 month old has crazy curly hair should i use products to tame it? should i brush it or not?

Don't put any products in a baby's hair just keep it clean and enjoy youy baby. I am pretty sure the baby does not care about how his/her hair looks.

OMG my hair is SO dead... whats the best treatment?

I have very long , very thick, very straight hair. Ive died it so many times in my life and I regret it. I constantly have to brush my hair all day or all hell breaks loose. My husband refuses to let me cut my hair so Im starting to make him brush my hair lol. But its still painfull and ill brush the whole thing then seconds later it needs to be brushed again and alllll the knots are back, Does anyone know of any leave in treatments, shampoos and conditoners or detanglers that work the best?...Ive tryed...

Panteen~ sucks

Dove~ Sucks

Garneai Fructus Sleek and Shine~ Works well but not all the time and half the time the stores dont have both shampoo and conditioner...

Ive also tryed hello hydration which smells like heaven and actually does something to my hair but I always use a whole bottle for two showers... I need something that WORKS and will "cure" my hair either then chopping it off.... any ideas?

Thanks ladies!!!! Or men whatever floats your boat ;)

OMG my hair is SO dead... whats the best treatment?

tre-semme

or sunsilk

OMG my hair is SO dead... whats the best treatment?

Sounds like the best thing for your hair is for it to get about.. 2 inches off? At least that.

OMG my hair is SO dead... whats the best treatment?

Mmm. If I were you I'd try Herbal Essences Break's Over. Smells good and it seems to be repairing my hair... slowly, but it's going.

Try not to straight iron, curl, or blow-dry your hair. If you must, use a heat protecting spray. You can get one at your local drugstore for about $10.

Good Luck!!

OMG my hair is SO dead... whats the best treatment?

I say you should see a beautician from here on out or at least until your hair is healthy again. you will be surprised what they can do. They really can revive your hair and give it that look that you're dying to have.

OMG my hair is SO dead... whats the best treatment?

i've heard lots of things you could prob just google it..

some of the things would prob be..

..sleep on a silk pillow

..put conditioner on your ends and sleep in it and wash it out the following morning

..don't wash your hair everyday

..use a cream with sunscreen on hair if you are exposed to lots of sun

..don't blow dry/straighten/curl your hair everyday

..eat healthy- has something to do with that

OMG my hair is SO dead... whats the best treatment?

Vo5 hot oil treatment before washing your hair. I personally use BMP 12 in 1 hair treatment after that. Here is the link so you can get it too.

OMG my hair is SO dead... whats the best treatment?

I highly recommend that you begin by go to a hair salon and get a deep conditioning treatment- it sounds like your hair could really benefit from one. The people at the salon would probably be happy to help you with your hair problems, too, and can recommend some products for you to use (beware of this, though - they're probably required to promote the products sold by that salon, whether they like them or not). If this is not an option, invest in products created specifically for your hair type. I also recommend that you go to www.thebeautybrains.com. It sounds like you've been let down by a lot of products, and, although you might have to do some searching on the site, you will probably be able to find out why it happened, and thus can avoid wasting your money in the future.

Also, treat your hair like it's precious. You seem to have wronged it multiple times, so it could definitely use some babying - refrain from heat styling as much as possible, shampoo your hair only when it's absolutely necessary, don't yank at your hair (especially when wet), buy a silk or satin pillowcase, condition daily, deep-condition weekly (at home, but get it done at a salon on average once a month - their treatments are stronger), and certainly don't subject it to more processing.

In addition, try living a healthy lifestyle (cut down stress, eat healthy, exercise, take multivitamins, sleep enough, drink water, etc.) to encourage healthy hair growth so that you can eventually cut off all the damaged hair and start anew.

Best of luck, I'm sure your hair will be gorgeous in no time!!!

OMG my hair is SO dead... whats the best treatment?

Firstly, you'd probably be better off giving the hair colour changes a rest, particularly if you're using drugstore brands. I used to be a serial hair colour abuser and I've paid a hefty price for it, in more ways than one. To be fair, my hair is probably not that much like yours, as mine is chin-length and fine. I did olive oil treatments a few times a week not too long ago and that has helped with the condition of my hair - it's less tangly, for sure. All I did was mix light extra virgin olive oil with water in a small squeeze bottle and pour that on. I only used about a tablespoon of oil, and then lots of warm water. The first time I did this, I left it in overnight (you may want to wear a shower cap to prevent messing up your pillow). Then I washed it out with a gentle shampoo. Try to find one without any sulfates in it - if you have a health food store near you, that's a good place to look. Also, you might have to shampoo more than once after this process. Actually, I use a similar technique to the one I just described for shampooing to get the oil out, meaning that I mix shampoo in a (different) bottle with water. This way the shampoo "travels" through the entire length of your hair. This helped rid me of the dryness. Now I'm using Nature's Gate herbal chamomile conditioner and it seems to be helping somewhat, too.

Good luck.

OMG my hair is SO dead... whats the best treatment?

I'm a serial hair dyer/hair cutter/hair destroyer. Over the years I've learned how to whip it back into shape. Your problem isn't your product. Sure, they'll condition your hair, but over time these products cause build up, making your hair dull, oily, and tangly.

Wash your hair with your regular regime, but once a week use a CLEAR shampoo. I use Sauve. It costs $1 at Wal-mart and it works fine. Clear shampoos don't have the heavy chemicals that cause buildup. In fact, the clear shampoo removes the build up you have.

After you've removed the build up, then it's okay to condition. I use light spray in conditioners. They keep my hair untangled, soft, and manageable. After I spray it in, I comb through my hair.

How can i settle my hair after coming out of the shower?

ok when i take a shower i brush my hair with a paddel brush. I wash my hair every night so i let my hair air-dry during the night and when i wake up, sometimes its puffy and sometimes its wavy but curly. But when i don't let my hair airdry, i put it in a braid and the next day is puffy! i brush my hair over and over to try to see if it settles but nothing works. anyone find a solution to this?

How can i settle my hair after coming out of the shower?

Make sure your hair is bone dry before going to bed as that can make your hair go wavey because the heat off your head at night will set the style as you sleep if its not properly dry, braiding will also make the hair wavey so i wouldnt do that if thats what youre trying to combat Also buy a wide tooth comb and try not to brush your hair as much that can make it more puffy too- never brush wet hair this will damage it, You could also try wetting a comb with some water or styling spray and run it over the hair to stop any unruly puffy areas that are there when you get up of a morning,

How can i settle my hair after coming out of the shower?

Invest in some leave in conditioner (I like the kind Aussie makes) or some smoothing serum to apply after getting out of the shower. Or you could just invest in a hair dryer.

How can i settle my hair after coming out of the shower?

i have the same problem i got a hair treatment from the hairdresser also its not good to brush your hair when its wet and if you are really dying for straight hair get a hair strightener

How shall i brush a pequinois dog? Do i Have to cut the hair?

Yes. Pekingese have very long hair and need to be brushed often. VERY often. First go over him/her with a stiff-toothed brush which looks very similar to a brush you or I might use. Then you must get out the undercoat. This is to be done with a fine-toothed comb. The kind they make for dogs is metal; you should never use a plastic "people-comb".

And I, also would suggest to you not to try to trim your Pekingese without professional help the first time. Perhaps ask to watch the whole trimming process and be sure to ask questions and take notes. And don't be ashamed if your first try turns out a bit iffy. And don't worry. It will grow back and you can try again.

How shall i brush a pequinois dog? Do i Have to cut the hair?

do you mean Pekingese, you need one of those brushes with lots of tiny little teeth.Don't cut its hair unless you have it done professionally

How shall i brush a pequinois dog? Do i Have to cut the hair?

NO HOW COULD U THINK THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How shall i brush a pequinois dog? Do i Have to cut the hair?

A brush called a slicker brush or if the hair is notted then a dematting come or a undercoat rake \

i hope i have helped:)

How shall i brush a pequinois dog? Do i Have to cut the hair?

Don't cut there hair unless necessary

How shall i brush a pequinois dog? Do i Have to cut the hair?

i agree with dumplingmuffin.

whats the name of it, and can you buy it at walmart?

What's the name of the spray that you spray in on your brush to get the static out of your hair?

9yr old son wont use soap on body/shampoo on hair when showering&has to be reminded daily to bru

mine would stand in the shower for an hour, it seemed, with a wash cloth on his head not even getting wet above the chest. Don't worry he will get over it. Meanwhile you will have to keep reminding him. It will be a fond memory in the future.

Congratulation you have a very normal 9 yo.

He's 9 years old and doesn't really care about grooming.

Remind him...but DO NOT get upset when he forgets. Sooner or later he'll start caring.

So typical of boys that age. It will change when he becomes interested in sex and needs to impress the object of his affections. Meanwhile your nagging will remain in his memory until it's needed.

Do you have a new baby? Sometimes children like to act out when their parents are going to have/ have a baby.

You could try to guilt him into showering properly by telling him that big boys wash with soap and shampoo and brush their teeth without being told. Or perhaps if you have another child that bathes correctly, praise them for doing so and hope he'll follow your lead.

9yr old son wont use soap on body/shampoo on hair when showering%26amp;has to be reminded daily to brush teeth help!

Give him rules, and advise him of the punishments if he does not obey the rules. No soap/shampoo/teeth, no tv, computer or x-box and he has to do chores. Some but not all, some time, but not as much as he wants. Keeps clean to your standards, then can see/do as much as you think reasonable given his age, bedtime and homework. If he does not obey now, just try to get him to obey when he is older.

same for teeth...

about the soap, I dont know. I still had to be reminded to brush my teeth until I was a teenager, it has to become a complete habbit, so you just have to keep drilling it into hiss head until he knows it is something that he has to do twice a day!

Its normal at that age.....he will grow out of it. All of my kids except the baby are in that phase. They will grow out of it when they start noticing the opposite sex.

Advice on hair that is falling out ?

Hi, after years of dyeing my hair, I thought that was why my hair was falling out and breaking off and becoming really dry and brittle which was caused by the dyeing of my hair of course, I have stopped dying it now and my roots are coming though fine but my hair is falling out from the root not just snapping off because its dry and brittle. but its my new hair that isnt even damaged or touched by hair dyes that is coming through at the roots, so I dont understand why its falling out. its worse when I wash my hair and comes out in little clump, and as I nearly always have it up I dont really notice it falling out when, but when I brush my hair my hair falls out every where. I know a little bit of malting it natural, but this isnt just malting.

I was just wondering what could be that cause of it and do you think I would benefit off taking hair skin and nail tablets.

My nails and skin seen to be fine and my nails grow pretty quick too so I dont know what the problem could be,

Advice on hair that is falling out ?

Don't want to alarm you, but PLEASE go see a doctor. It could be your thyroid or some other medical problem. Also, stress can make your hair fall out, as well.

Advice on hair that is falling out ?

I would say that you should cut your hair shorter to get more of the damaged hair off.

How big are the clumps?

Have you tried the hair care brand Nioxin? I really like it. My hair was thinning and this really helped me.

Also deep conditioning treatments may also help.

Advice on hair that is falling out ?

i'm not an expert, but it sounds to me like you need some good conditioning. you may also want to try washing your hair less (like every other day) just to let it rest a little. you can also try using a wide-tooth comb instead of a brush for a while. hair, skin and nails are all apart of the same body system. just make sure you have a good intake of calcium and vitamins.

Advice on hair that is falling out ?

i agree with chatter...it could be a medical condition...this happened to my sister in law and she had thyroid trouble..please just check with your dr to make sure its not a medical condition that you are unaware of

I have tangle problembs w/ my hair?

ive tried so many different shampoos and brushing my hair constantly and detanglers(spray). im hair is always really tangly and snarly it gets like that really esily. ill brush it and then 20 minuts later its like i never even brushed it. it dosnt mattter how much i brush it. my hair is natural a little wavy at teh ends. its less tangly when i leave it natural. but when i straighten it its liek a nightmare.it should be better when its starightned..but its not. im 14 so i dont htink this should be happeneing? fyi my hair is dyed and im letting it go bak to its normal color

WHAT CAN I DO...SO THIS CHANGES?!?...IM SICK OF THIS

any remomended shamposs or anything ..anything HELP

I have tangle problembs w/ my hair?

It's probably too dry. Use Garnier Fructis Moisture Works DEEP Conditioner once a week. Let it sit in your hair for 10 minutes after you rinse out the shampoo.

When it's wet, use a detangling spray. The key is to get the fruity-smelling sprays meant for kids because they work the best.

THEN, when your hair gets snarly, DON'T USE A COMB! If you have curly hair or wavy hair, you are not supposed to brush or comb it while it's dry. Instead, gently work out the tangles using a pick comb or even a pencil. (NOT YOUR FINGERS)

When you DO comb it, make sure you use a durable WIDE-TOOTH comb. Good luck!

I have tangle problembs w/ my hair?

if your hair gets poof it is ok to use your fingers. also try detangler. any brand is fine. they are all the same mostly. just a different bottle and scent:)

Why do women always do that thing with their hands, brushing their hair?

They bring their hands up to the sides of their face near their hairline, and, using their middle finger, they make a backwads arcing motion with their hands.

It almost looks as if they're brushing hair out of their eyes but the weird part is that I've seen this done (constantly) even by women with the straightest hair, or even by women with very close-cut hair (like a guy's).

Why do women always do that thing with their hands, brushing their hair?

haha its nerves. I always played with my hair when talking to a cutie. haha i still do it with my boyfriend. i don't know why half the time i don't even realized i'm doing it until he pulls my hand aways from my face. also sometimes its cause my hair is in my face.

Why do women always do that thing with their hands, brushing their hair?

we are horny

Why do women always do that thing with their hands, brushing their hair?

Good damn question. I don't do that and I'm a girl. I wonder that myself...

Why do women always do that thing with their hands, brushing their hair?

Because we don't have any balls to scratch.

Why do women always do that thing with their hands, brushing their hair?

to me its a sign a flirting tell her that her hair looks fine or maybe hold her hands it also means she's nervous so the holding hands thing is a good idea

Why do women always do that thing with their hands, brushing their hair?

all i can understand of your description is that they are running their hands through their hair. i do it some times because my hair is in my face and sometimes because it's habit. lol, maybe that's just me though....

Why do women always do that thing with their hands, brushing their hair?

nerves, lacking confidence...especially if she's talking to someone, might just be a nervous habit.... i know what you're talking about, that drives me crazy. or b/c they think they're all that and for some reason playing with their hair makes them hotter... who knows.

Why do women always do that thing with their hands, brushing their hair?

they want sex!!!!!!!!!

Why do women always do that thing with their hands, brushing their hair?

it's probably because they like you and are trying to flirt with you,but their just not very good at it

Why do women always do that thing with their hands, brushing their hair?

Personaly it feels good. But some girls do it to flirt. I've done it once but I made a fool outta myself

Why do women always do that thing with their hands, brushing their hair?

honey, they want you to touch them

and if you get the chance go for it and enjoy

Why do women always do that thing with their hands, brushing their hair?

Some girls do it to flirt, some do it just b/c it's a habit. Girls with sometimes do it because they think their hair looks good, esp. ones with straight hair - it falls back perfectly into place! If they're doing it while they're talking to you, they could be fliriting. If not, it's just a habit, a quick-clean way to get your hair out of your face without messing it up.

Why do women always do that thing with their hands, brushing their hair?

Some women think that their hair is their best feature and if it doesn't look right than their whole day is ruined.

Why do women always do that thing with their hands, brushing their hair?

I know many are saying that this is a flirting sign but often it is not. I do it all the time because my hair ALWAYS needs to look PERFECT. So it's a habit. Women are emotional creatures, they like doing stroking things like that.
