Should you brush or comb a perm?

well before i had my perm( i had to get it redone) it was really thick and tangly got it permed then it got back tangled in two weeks then i got a re perm and its much better now neways i just want to know should i brush my hair(the first time thats probably how it got back messy) or should i use a comb my hair is black and shoulder lenght what type of comb or brush should i use? Thanks

I don't use a brush because I have short permed hair. However, you should only need to brush if your putting in a ponytial or something like that. Combing is good enough, and I suggest buying several combes but make sure you have a wide tooth comb always especially if you have thick hair.

Use a pick or wide tooth comb. But only when it is wet and you have put a leave in conditioner in it. NEVER NEVER brush it or really mess with it when it is dry.

use a wide tooth comb and always start at the ends of the hair. that helps eliminate tangles.

medium teeth comb would work wonders. If using a brush, try a wide bristle one.

Using a pick will lessen the damage to your hair. Especially when wet; if you first go through it with the pick it will allow the best shape to come of the perm you got.

When you reach a tangle, be gentle until you work it out to stop breakage since you had your hair permed twice already.

Once you've used the pick... try shaping it a bit with your fingers to achieve the look you want.

Try not to use the brush on it. Permed hair looks best when it's in it's natural permed form.

use a comb or a pick. The more gaps in your comb the better, Since the brush has a ton of bristles all close to each other it will "brush out" the perm, literally.
