How do you get static out of hair brushes?

Or out of your hair for that matter?

To get static out of hair brushes you can spray a little bit of water on it, if you just wanted to get the static out of your hair without getting it damp though you could take a dryer sheet and run it over your hair. (I know it sounds funny but it works!)

Spray hairspray on them. Just a light dusting. Hair is the same thing. Look for a hairspray that says antistatic I used to work at a hair salon and static guard plus is NOT the answer, if that gets in your hair from your brush its nasty

As you can tell... I am an expert on haircare!

Static in the hair is normally caused by lack of moisture.

Try adding a conditioner/moisturizer to your haircare routine.

Also, get a small spray bottle and fill it with 1 part standard haor conditioner and 10 parts water. Shake VERY well and spritz your hair and/or hairbrush.

Bounce fabric softener sheets, rub it over the brush, in between the bristles, and rub it gentle over the top of you hair, not too much on your hair though, or it will look dull.

I guess the logical way to make sure the static gets out of your brushes is to first make sure the hair is out of your brushes (if there is build up in them).

For your hair - as another poster suggested - take a dryer sheet and run it over your dry hair - I've done this with my fine fly away hair on those extra staticy days and it works for some control - never tried running the dryer sheet over the brush too - hummm
