Okay, I see that most women prefer short hair on a guy, but what are the reasons?

I have very long hair for a guy (mid back length), but I couldn't look femenine if I tried because I'm also six feet tall, have broad shoulders and a low-pitched voice.

I take VERY good care of myself, dress in suits alot, and always stay very well groomed (goatee trimmed, hair brushed, etc.)

Okay, so assuming that a guy doesn't look femenine, is clean and well kept, and takes himself very seriously, do you prefer long or short hair on a guy, and why? Give details please!

I love longer hair on men. I think it needs to be curly to look good though....It really depends on the guy...

Either or, but longer is more attractive. I have never dated a guy with long hair. I have always found them to be quite attractive. Just thoughts of me running my fingers thru their hair.... mmm... lol

Just kidding, but I find it quite nice, especially when they appear to be decent and well kept.

I like long hair but not that long, my husbands hair is about shoulder length and i think if you have it longer it tends to look a bit tired, especially on men.

Also, i think it depends on the mans body and head shape, as you are a bigger man i would think you would suit shorter hair. Why not try it, it always grows back.

just had this discussion earlier today. I personally dont like long hair on a guy because its too feminine and just flat out not attractivel I realize you keep yourself clean, and that you personally dont look feminine but its just not something I want in a guy. I dont his hair to be the same length if not longer than my hair. And no matter how well groomed you keep yourself, its just grungy. I hope I didnt offend you, just thought I'd give you my opinion

i personnaly perfer longer haired men no matter how groomed or dressed he is but most women i would say do perfer short haired men cause it usually says they have a job can take care of you arent into femme things plus what women wants a man to take as long to brush their hair as they do

I don't care what length your hair is as long as a guy takes care of himself. What is more important is how he carries himself and how he treats other people. I like guys to be themselves and if that means long hair, go for it! I think women who have a "type" normally don't meet the guy that's right for them.

I HATE, HATE, HATE long hair on men! For so many reasons. First because it is supposed to be rebellious, but how can you look rebellious if it is brushed out and pulled back with a suite? And if you do not pull it back you look like a bum! Also I like my men manly and there is nothing manly about you having to "do" your hair. YUCK!

long hair or short as long it looks good and neat , not a big deal. I marry a guy in his long hair, and he's pretty handsome in those shiny hair. For me not an issue.

I used to like guys with long hair, but that was 10 years ago, when that was cool. Now, long hair on guys just looks like they are stuck in the past.

Cut the hair- it's totally sexy short and trim.

I'd prefer long hair, It's so sexy in a guy specially blackbrownish, to me long hair is so beautiful and is so sexy and not alot men have long hair, now a goatee is way off the line sexy, that makes a man more attractive and it def. makes me look twice at him lol. I dont think you could ever look feminine at all being the way you are, i would say keep your long and dont ever cut it.

Also I love pulling hair and brush my fingers against them in some other situation (intimacy) you said you wanted details lol and so this what I think. send me a pictue lol am sure you very very handsome!!! *wink*

My guy has long hair, well long for a guy and it is very attractive to me.

I have seen some really good looking men with long hair. I walked up to one man who had gorgeous hair and I told him too!!

However I have seen some good looking guys with short too.

Just matters how the guy wears it, and what he looks like. I got to admit I go for the longer hair on a guy.

2 of my sons even have long hair lol, by there choice. Not as long a yours though.

it depends. iv seen some guys that actually look good with longer hair then with short hair. but then there are guys that look hidious with long hair. i guess its just how you wear it.

i like the way you put it. dont change, if you like it then do it! i admire a guy who does what he wants and not what people want him to do

I am SO TIRED of chopped off, bristly, short, or SHAVED hair on men! Please, let your hair grow! It doesn't have to be very long, just long enough to look good -- although really long hair is fine too.

But -- it MUST BE CLEAN.

even after reading all that lol - still short. its just a personal preference if you like short or long hair or not. you see that , you kno that %26amp; you do wat you like -- thats best. think about dieing that streak tho.. a grey streak is totally unattractive %26amp; remines me of skunks. on a positive note.. a well kept long haired masculine man kinda make me think of like the dream guy in a bunch of movies or a foreign model. =]

edit: OH i thought of some thing else.. guys with long hair that is nice %26amp; shiny makes me jelouse bc they have nicer hair then me. thats just wrong lol. not your fault tho.

I think that if you keep it clean and well groomed and have the confidence that you look good, (which by the way you sound like your handsome) that you should wear your hair anyway you like. Some guys that have short hair, don't wash and groom their hair half as much as they should.
