Well I am off to the Glastonbury Festival this month so won't be able to wash my hair for 4 days (yuck!). My hair is dry and curly, so it won't go greasy but will instead go dull, frizzy, knotty, and fly away. Is there anthing anyone knows of that I could put it in it each day to revive the curls, and moisturise and de-frizz it? I was thinking of that dry shampoo, but it says to brush through the hair and I don't brush my hair. If I do it looks like I've just been electrocuted! I was also thinking maybe a spray leave-in conditioner to mousiturise it, and a spray curl reviver? Any thoughts/ideas?

I don't brush my hair either - each morning I just spray it with water to revitalise the mousse and serum I put in after I've shampooed it - Usually I wash it every 3 days or so and it looks better the longer I leave it. I use a leave in conditioner too but don't recommend curl revivers as they just add more cr*p to your hair whereas the water revives the stuff you've already got in there.

i think you should bring a spray bottle of water so you can spray your hair to wet it then out in this herbal eccensses mouse and scrunch in your curls

I also have curly hair, and I find that leave-in conditioner is a MUST! If you take a squirt bottle filled with water and dampen it a little, then follow with the leave-in (try VO5 miracle mist), and comb, you should be good to go. You mihgt start to get some build-up around day three, so then use more water and less conditioner.

The waterless shampoo tends to dry out curly hair; I would not use it myself. I use Instacure, by Matrix, costs about $12-15 a bottle at a salon. Spray it on dry or wet hair, maybe use a pick on rough spots, scrunch the hair. It is a leave in conditioner and a curl revitalizer, so you won't have to use two products--It dries with a soft curl, and has a clean, fresh smell!

only a person with truly curly hair can answer this question. i've been in the smae position. when i went on a camping trip, i used the loreal for kids deatangler. you can simply spray it on, and finger through the knots, and it leaves your hair feeling clean all over again. if your scalp still feels greasy, use translucent facial powder that absorbs oil. those two things are life savers.

i also have curly hair. i've never tried the dry shampoo, but i hear if you just apply it to the roots and work it in near the scalp, you can kind of work it out with your fingers without using a brush (obviously try this before actually going and have it be a failure). if i'm going somewhere where i cant wash my hair for a while, i just put it in two french braid pig-tails. it's kinda like 8th grade re-visited, but you'll feel a lot less icky with it just out of your face. otherwise, pony tail with a wide headband works to hide grease too

run your head under the tap and then use leave in conditioner . id take a good supply of hair clips and bands just in case at least then if its frizzy it wont be in your face .

From another long curly haired who doesn't brush...when I can't get my hair washed for some reason and want to stop it looking like a scarecrow's wig, I smoothe almond oil on it. YOu can do this at night and put it in lots of plaits, no need to fasten the ends, and it's shiney and wavey in the morning. It acts as a leave in conditioner, so when you do grt to wash it, it's much softer than usual. Enjoy the festival !
