Anyone know of a good powder brush that won't shed as much?

I'm entirely sick of picking black brush hairs off my face after using my powder. I only use MAC for makeup so I bought a MAC powder brush a while back ($40) and have hated it ever since. I find it to be no better than a $5 brush from Target. I washed it recently (gently) with Bed Head body wash and it got much worse. Not only more hairs come out but it also doesn't seem to retain any powder now. Any ideas of a really good (low to moderately expensive) brush I can buy? Thanks!

that brush sounds like a dud. I'd call MAC and tell them what is happening.

Don't use body wash for your good brushes.

Bare Minerals brushes are excellent (Ulta sells them).

Anything from Bare Minerals should work perfectly. My mom and sister use that make up and their favorite brush is the Kabooki (sp?) brush.

Get your brushes from Bee-Luscious. They are REAL professional brushes. Also ONLY use a good brush wash. Anything else may harm the bristles. The Bee-Luscious brushes are the best, you will love them.
