Is it advisable to comb/brush your hair when wet and why?

It's best to comb your wet hair with the wide toothed end of a comb. Begin at the ends of your hair and work your way to the scalp to minimize hair breakage. Using a good hair conditioner after shampooing will make the combing out process easier for you and your hair.

use a wide tooth comb when hair is wet

brushes will break the hair strand

dont use a brush because it will cause your hair to break. thats why its best to use a comb

it is advisable not to comb your hair when its wet cos your hair is the most fragile when wet. if you have to, use those wide toothed combs with round tips so that you dont hurt your scalp. those round tips can help me massage your scalp. but i'd advise you not to comb it when its wet :)

Depending on the length of your hair. Combing or brushing when helps to reduce tangels,

buy a detangle spray and then you can brush away

Hair is at its most vulnerable when wet, so go easy on it. Don't forget to condition, and don't tug on it. Finger-comb it if it's short, or use a wide-toothed comb if it's long. Keep brushes for dry hair.

yeah use the wide tooth comb, never a brush, especially when wet cause it causes lots of breakage. my hairdresser told me. i used to do it all the time, but now i hardly ever even "brush" my hair cause i straighten it with an iron or wear it curly

comb wet hair

brush dry hair

bristles on brush are so close together they can't go thru the tangle (will rip the hair causing split ends and damage).

comb wet hair from ends to roots. tangles are easier to get out this way. if you start at the root then the tangle gets bigger and bigger. if you start on the ends then each tangle can be broken down into smaller and smaller tangles, easier to get out.

did this answer the question or did i not answer the question you asked? i can go into more detail if need be, but i thought this would do.
