or use a curling iron

maybe switch brand of wave grease or builder as you called it. also try getting shorter hair cuts. start there then "train" the hair while its very short almost bald, brush it in the natural pattern it grows often almost all the time. when it grows in how you like you should have satisfactory 360 waves. remember regular scheduled hair cuts are important to maintain waves.
