How can I make my hair silkier and stay less stringy for longer?

I can straighten my hair and brush it every 5 minutes and it looks fine, but is there any way to make it silkier and stay looking like its just been brushed? Is there a special type of shampoo? I use mousse and hairspray and my hair is almost naturally straight and it is about shoulder length. Any advice?

Use Sunsilk Hydra TLC shampoo, conditioner, and 24/7 Creme. It works really well. Also, when you get in the shower, before you wet your hair, shampoo your hair as you would if it were wet, wash it out, and shampoo it and condition it as you normally would. It makes your hair softer. I just did it this morning.

There is certain shampoos that make hair shinier than others. For example, I use American Girl Shampoo from Bath and Body Works. It works great! I have long hair, and the shampoo makes it shiny. Conditioners help out too. Conditioners make hair shinier, because it get down to the root and helps it clean well.If you rinse your hair with cool water it helps make it shinier too!

Hop this helps! Email me if you have any questions.

With straight fine hair it is almost impossible to keep it looking like you just brushed it. One way to make it silkier is to use Farouk Systems Silk Therapy on it after your hair is dry. It's great to use before flat ironing also. You could try to flat iron your hair because that usually keeps it straighter and silkier than just blowdrying. This will keep your style a little longer too and keep it from looking stringy. Remember to only use a little of the SIlk Therapy. A little goes a LONG way. If you are using a flat iron that isn't ceramic, I would suggest spending a little more money and getting a Chi Iron. This iron gets very hot so you don't have to spend a lot of time styling your hair. It will help your style stay how you want it. If your hair is flat, you could try Matrix Amplify shampoo, conditioner, and Root Lifter. This will keep your hair looking a lot more full so it doesn't start looking stringy.
