My hair is falling out... ?

For the past two weeks or so, my hair has been falling out. In the shower every time I run my hands through my hair, a good amount falls out (about 15-20 strands), when I get out I pull a couple of my back that I didn't grab, and when I brush my hair, my brush has hair all in it.

What could be causing this? Even if I was pregnant, I wouldn't be more than a month - but I don't think I am yet.

Help me please!

not enough nutrients in your body could be the # 1 reason.

My hair is falling out... ?

Take prenatal vitamins. Other than that I don't know.

My hair is falling out... ?

CANCER might be what you have but that is what happend to one of my friends and she did have cancer. you said you might be pregnant but it wouldn't show till 3 months!

Go get a blood test on your THYROID. You need your numbers looked at ...Don't waste any time either,,,

If your thyroid "TOPS OUT" it can kill you....

Early smyptoms can be the same as early pregnancy too.

My hair is falling out... ?

It could be your thyroid. But I've asked quite a few doctors about this and the concensus is we, everyone, loses at least 100 hairs a day. Stop brushing your hair. It puts so much stress on your hair. Never put a brush to it when its wet. Use a pick, a wide tooth comb.

My hair is falling out... ?

I'm pretty sure that the average person loses about 100 hairs every day. 15-20 at once may not be a cause for concern. Especially if you wear your hair up or in a ponytail, it may end up looking like you're losing a whole bunch at once when you take your hair down and wash it. Besides, it's spring - time to lose that winter coat! Unless your hair is falling out in clumps, you probably don't need to worry.

maybe a change in your diet may have been the cause of all the problems you are having with your life and hair now...

My hair is falling out... ?

There can be many reasons for this, but you don't have to be pregnant. Ity could just be a change of hormone levels in your system. It can be nerves even, if you have been thru alot of stress lately. Also when I had this problem, Dr. asked if I had changed hair products. I had in fact switched shampoo and conditioner because I wantes a change....there are many factors in what you are going thru and it could be one or even more than one thing that is causing this.

I remember when it happened to me I started panicking thinking what if its cancer, but Dr. put my mind at ease on that one...its not cancer that causes hair loss, its cancer treatments that does that. Hang in there, I bet its something simple and short term and will go away before you know it!

My hair is falling out... ?

I wouldn't see it as anything weird, I lose hair EVERYTIME I shower, and have been since I was about ten (6 1/2years). Everyon in my family does. But I guess if it really bothers you, see a doctors. OH, and cancer WILL NOT cause this, it's the Chemotherapy that causes hair loss.

My hair is falling out... ?

When I got pregnant, I lost chunks of hair in the shower too. Reading your question was like dejavous! I am a vitamin freak so if you want to get your hair strong again then take silica. You can buy it for around ten bucks at any drug store. It promotes the healthy growth of hair, nails, skin, etc... check out the link below for all you need to know about any vitamins. Good luck!

People can normally loose up to 100 hairs a day. My Doctor

told me to take BIOTIN (vitamin H ) It takes it comes in about a few months to help I take Biotin every day,I take the strongest MG'S I can find. Ask your Doctor about it.

hi jessica,

the 3 main causes of hair loss are nervousness, poor diet %26amp; being underweight. fortunately, in all these cases, when proper corrections are made, the hair returns. i am giving you a link that tells you what vitamins will help and what foods will help, for healthy hair. try not to worry..as this will continue to cause you hair loss. also, massage your scalp with your finger tips, actually move the scalp around... massage all hair growth areas... this will bring blood (nutrition) to your scalp.

i hope this helped. good luck! :)

It might be a couple of things but they are going on inside your body so changing shampoos, etc. is not going to work.

1. Nutrition, you are not getting enough protein from meat, cheese, eggs

2. Thyroid problem - losing hair is the number one symptom of hypothyroid.

3. Too much soy in your diet. People do not know that soy is

dangerous and in women it blocks hormones.
